Hey EF. When's good for you this week? Saturday night, by any chance?

I believe so. I remember him posting something in another thread. Either increased schedule or broken Xbox, I can't recall right now. |

DeTox is out due to a broken game disc.
EF - The weekday times are probably too early for me to be clear of kid complications, so let's go with something on Saturday. Last edited by Kodos : 06-23-2009 at 08:49 AM. |

So we're kinda limping along at this point. How do people feel about trying to get in another season after this one? I know we said we were going to a while ago, but we've lost some owners recently. It seems like in general things are running out of steam a bit.

While part of me would love to see us get in another season, so I can see some of the truly elite speed guys I've signed this year, I think it is probably unrealistic that we will get to finish another season due to the likely scenario that EA will shut down the servers in August. I'm game for trying though if enough people want to do so.

Yeah, I'd be curious to see how I could do with a team no longer overall rated in the 70s. It's funny, my team has a lot more speed than the team in the first season, but my overall rating has pretty much remained stagnant.

I think if we did one more season, I think we need to cut our days from 4 to 3 per deadline (I actually wouldn't mind doing that now).

I'll be the first to admit that I'm running out of steam with NCAA stuff. The general consensus around here seems to be that next year NCAA will be playing second fiddle to Madden for the first time in about a decade. I have no intentions of dropping from the league, in fact I'm getting my game in this evening, but since joining the RFL this is probably the least I have ever been engaged.
As far as another season after this, I agree with Galaxy that we would have to bump the deadlines. Considering the waning interest as of late, I don't know how successful that would be. MLB 09 is probably playing a part in my lack of interest in other games right now too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, but it's by far the most realistic, engaging, and addicting game I have ever played in my life.

Yeah. Notably, I think we've only advanced early one time this season. And that's without Pumpy!

You talking about "The SHow" or is MLB 09 the other bball game? Just curious. Got my game in last night since I'll be out of town for the weekend. In terms of playing another season, I'm down for whatever. |

Yeah, I mean "The Show". I've even got a dynasty going in the dynasties section.

I'm in complete agreement about The Show. Best sports console game ever (but still has some notable flaws.)

The Ohio State Buckeyes came into Happy Valley last night in a battle against two top 5 teams. It was never close.
Thomas Davis ran for 150 yards and 3 TD's, he also caught 7 balls for 120 yards. Marcus Castillo threw for somewhere around 400 yards and we won 69-31. Their Halfback is an absolute beast, and though I forgot to check, I wouldn't be surprised if he had 20 broken tackles in the game.

I'd say NCAA 2009 on our current settings has ceased to be a challenge for you.

I agree 100%. Unless I'm playing with a mid-high 70's team, it doesn't seem to matter what kind of CPU opponent I'm facing. USC gave me some trouble in the NOFL, but that was with both my starting QB, and my starting HB hurt, on top of playing with a mediocre at best Stanford team. I would probably even be open to moving up to Heisman difficulty. By the way, my RFL game is listed as having started twice. I started the game but accidentally chose the wrong playbook, so I quit before the kickoff and just restarted.

No problem. I don't really bat an eye when I see restarts, as I trust guys in the league. If I saw it over and over again with the same guy, that would stir my curiosity a bit. |

As usual, I couldn't really threaten a good player with a superior team. We hung in there in the first half down just 17-9, but couldn't score in the second and lost 31-9, I believe. Good game, EF. Wish we could have given you a better game. Good luck the rest of the way. Advancing to Week 10 now.

Good game, Kodos. As I told you on there, I have no doubt that we would have some close great games with more equal teams. You did the best of anyone we played this year in shutting down my running game.

Thanks, EF. I think we just had guys in the right places against the run today. Not as much against the pass.
The EA servers are being a pain right now, so I'll try to advance in a little bit. |

I've been trying in vain all day to move us forward, but it keeps stopping during the dynasty upload stage (stage 5 of 6). Hopefully I'm not becoming one of the guys that can't connect to the EA servers.

It'd be nice if I liked baseball. Figures the best game is in a sport I care almost nothing about. Can you play the game strictly as minor league team? I could give it a whirl as the Rochester Red Wings. |

I'm not sure if you can play strictly as a minor league team or not, but I'm almost positive that you can control minor league teams as part of your organization and play out their games. I've found the Road to the Show mode so engrossing that it is all I've concentrated on. In that mode, I started out on real minor league teams playing as just my one guy.
