Yes. Here it got up to 56 degrees today. Thursday the wind chill will be -5 when I have to have my daughter at the bus stop.

I am so done with winter.

It's been weird up here. I don't know if it's just that there's so much more info out there, but I feel like I've never seen so many storms where the rain/snow line is right through Massachusetts.

Side note - HS lacrosse starts next week, and there's still a few inches of snow on the turf (which they won't/don't plow in my town). If this thing stays rain that might actually clear off sometime next week... if it's another foot+ of snow it might not be until April at this rate. Please stay rain.

I think you are going to be just like me out here in the Central Mass hills for this storm. Rain most of tomorrow, then at night when the temp drops like a rock it will switch over to snow. No way it can be rain with temperatures in the single digits at that point. Still, most of the storm will be rain for us, and I think the 1.5-3.5 inch line for snow goes all the way from my house east to just north of Boston where you are.

It better fall early in the day. I gotta drive thru the 6" line and toward the 9" line for work. As long as it comes down in the early afternoon I'll be fine.

One of my friends posted he wants the snow to come so Detroit gets a record snow fall for the year. I looked out my door this morning and would love to reason staying in but can't. This is just depressing at this point.

9-12" predicted here. Drove to work today and it's a heavy wet snow.

Don't know how long I will stay at work today, but we will see.

KY is working on a measure to allow 10 snow days this year instead of the 5 normally planned. It's going to pass with no problems. Some districts in the east have missed over 30 days. I don't think mine want to miss any more. The school year is already so messed up.

The issue that we have is due to federal government mandates, kids have to go to school a certain number of days per year by June 30th. So even if they add in more snow days here, they have to make them up at some point.

Many of the schools here do not have the best air conditioning so going to school earlier in August is just not safe either. As it is each year seems to be a delicate balance of trying to figure out when they will fit in that school.

The recent trend when we have super snowy winters is that they start talking about taking back holiday weeks such as spring vacation.

Our school superintendent likes to send the kiddies to school on Saturdays when they miss school due to weather. I'm not a fan of this. Considering I travel all week, the weekends are my time with my kids. So they simply don't go.

Looks like the cold didn't make it down this far, but the wind sure did. I'm getting gusts up to 50mph right now.

Schools are already extending the school year here for this year and there is growing talk of going year round.

Yet another blown, hyped up storm. We have maybe 2 inches and it is no longer snowing. We're "supposed" to get more (3-5") in a couple more hours but I'll believe it when I see it.

I think we found your extra snow. Solid 6-7 up here, and the bulk was supposed to pass south of us.

Heavy, slushy crap, too. Took me almost two hours to clear the driveway yesterday.

It is a high amount. There is hope that so much ice will help bring the water level back up since it has been getting rather low.

After a nice day here, grilling out, doing yard work, it's hard to believe that it's going to snow again. Luckily we are only getting a glancing blow of this one.

So how about this weather line in NOAA from Lubbock yesterday during their dust storms:

1814:53W 36 G 480.50 Dust Storm and WindyVV00370-9

4%NANA29.67

Constant wind of 36, gusting to 48. It was 70, but the dewpoint was below 0 because the humidity was so low. And the pressure was a quite low 29.67.

So, today it hit 60 at noon (if you believe weather.com), then, we received 3 inches of snow, and tomorrow its supposed to be 67.

Tornado touched down about 20 minutes northwest of us. We got a little hail and now its raining very hard with lots of lightning. Our tornado warning has been canceled.

On the plus side, while it looks like it should be bad, it could have been worse as they've still only bumped it up to "moderate" at SPC. That means 15% chance of a tornado within 25 miles in the red. Considering they had a convective outlook for this on the 4-8, I thought it was going to be a "high" (30%) for sure. Still, it''s going to be bad for someone- just not as bad as it could have been.

Monday is no picnic either as it moves south and east:

Scratch that- things have just been upgraded to "high" through a pretty large chunk of Arkansas tonight:

Tornado sirens blaring again here in Joplin, MO. Just seen a few small rope tornadoes form a few miles to the west of me, in pretty much the exact place that the EF5 hit in May 2011.

The local news is reporting that an "extremely large and dangerous" tornado is heading towards Joplin and could hit the north side. Hard to put much faith in our local forecasters, but I guess we'll see.

Yes, stay safe!

Sidenote: I hate having dreams about tornadoes. They're my worst kind of nightmare/dream that I have. I'm always hanging on with a belt or some crap like that..

Looks like the worst has passed over and it's actually turning into a decent evening. No reports of damage around Joplin that I've heard, but some neighboring towns are reporting damage. (Quapaw, OK and Galena, KS).

I've had the same recurring tornado nightmare since I was a little kid, and to this day it still freaks me out. All I know is I'll never own a home that faces north with a wooded back yard.

Man watching the Weather Channel, looks like Mississippi getting hit hard with tornadoes today-Tupelo hit earlier with lots of damage, Starksville area too. Now Jackson being hit, Birmingham could be next. Tornado to the south west of Atlanta as well. Not looking forward to going through this tomorrow in MB.

Stay safe those in the affected areas.

And tornadoes starting up again, this time south and east of Raleigh. Good chance same places in Mississippi and Alabama will get hit again today/tonight. That really sucks

So far nothing in Myrtle Beach, looks like tonight/tomorrow will be the dangerous time for us-stay safe everyone!
