 Yesterday marked the 1 yr mark with my new company. In aviation, that's a big moment as it typically marks the end of a period called "probation" where the company can eliminate you for pretty much any reason at any time. A day that I've been counting down for 364 days. It marks the culmination of a long road in aviation that has been a few ups, a few downs and a LOT of stress, anxiety and frustration along the way. The last year has been nothing short of a dream come true. I still have days where I have to pinch myself to see if it's real. I am truly fortunate to be in this position when so many are struggling and haven't been given this opportunity yet, but are every bit as deserving. That picture yesterday was taken in Orlando, the same city where I began my career path 14 1/2 years ago. Fitting that I was there on that day.
