Another good win, this time 42-7 over Illinois. I really wish I had gotten some practice games in before those first two cause I know things would have been different.

Royster ran the ball 28 times for 188 yards in 3 quarters.

We had 19 recruits visiting today so a good win was needed.

I could do 9pm tonight or Friday/Sunday night after 9pm?

Sorry, don't want to stay up real late tonight. Kids haven't slept very well for the last week.

Probably Friday night after 9 works the best. Maybe 9:30?

If I didn't know better, I'd swear that the comeback code was in full effect (up 21-0 after three, they scored, when we were going for a clinching score, we mysteriously fumbled, etcetera)

But our defense holds Nebraska to a FG on their OT possession, and a sneak on 4th and goal inches away from Pryor gives us a 27-24 OT win.

I thought FSU was going to be a problem for us, but they fumbled the opening kickoff. We scored quickly. Then, we held them to 3 and out. We scored quickly. Then, Ponder threw a pick 6. We were up 21-0 within 3 minutes of the start of the game. We were up 35-0 by the very early part of the 2nd quarter. We let up a bit and they got made it 38-14 at the half. Pulled our starters in the 3rd, but still kept scoring as Dillon Baxter had another highlight run (75 yard TD with multiple broken tackles) that I have uploaded to the server. We win 59-28 with 14 points coming in the 4th vs our subs.

Welp, that was an ass-kicking. I don't think I ever stopped one of MSU's drives when they were trying. On the other hand, I could do little on offense, except for turning it over. I was actually pretty good at that.

Good game, Balldog. I'm clearly not in your league. Good luck the rest of the way.

Hey Mike,

What is the best time for you? I've got a fairly good range of flexibility but would prefer either Tues or Weds afternoon or evening (not too late.) Otherwise, I can play Friday if you want after work. I should be available all day Saturday too except during the time USC is playing.

SirFozzie, when do you want to play? The best for me would be late tomorrow (Mon.) night or Tuesday night. I'm on a trip Wed. through Fri. So the next chance would be Saturday.

Thanks, good game. Good luck to you too, that was probably one of the hardest hitting games I've witnessed...seemed like quite a few injuries. Hope you didn't think I was trying to run up the score late in the first half, I just thought if I scored there it was over since I was getting the ball first in the 2nd half.

As for our Week 7 game, we survived an upset bid from Illinois but hold on to win 24-14. We trailed 14-10 midway through the third. Cousins was out of sync but the running game pushed us through. Uploaded some nice highlights, one being a key 4th down stop and another huge hit by Jones.

Hopefully we get some recruits to sign after that one, we had at least 12 players visiting. Including two that were soft verbals to Illinois.

That was an ass-kicking, and unfortunately, it was our booty meeting boot.

I think the screen play where Pryor threw it five yards over the RB's head summed it up.

We didn't do anything right.

GG man.

Nah. No running it up. You were just finishing things off early.

I hope next time I can give you a better game. I'd like to think it was just a bad outing for me, and that I'd usually put up a better fight. Didn't get a lot of breaks last night.

That is one I'd like. I'd be interested in setting that one up if 31 isn't too young.

Good Game, I think your right the breaks were one sided on that one. I only had maybe one wild pass and that is the first time I have not fumbled in a game. It is tough when you don't get anything to help shift momentum. It looks like the mighty Ohio State recriting machine is rolling on though. Good luck down the stretch.

Well, I'm not quite sure how that happened. Down 21-7 to in the first quarter, we proceeded to score the last 42 points of the game and put away Texas Tech. We scored 21 points in the last 54 seconds of the first half when we scored, forced a quick 3-and-out, hit a big pass play to score with 3 seconds left, then forced a fumble on the kickoff and returned for a TD.

Somehow we piled up 13 sacks, with Jacquies Smith picking up 7 of them to bump his season total to 16. Never had a game like this where the sacks piled up like that.

AWESOME GAME! That was a blast, Bigsmooth. Thought it was gonna be an offensive shootout based on how the game started, but our defenses really were the stars of this game. Luckily for me, I was able to get a couple more turnovers, and close the game out with the safety. Was able to leave Seattle with a 23-14 win. I thought I had the game in the bag when I knocked Locker out of the game in the 3rd quarter, but your backup came in pulled you back into the game.

But on the down side, I'm out my first (Tre Newton) and second (Fozzy Whittaker) string running backs for the next 4 weeks.

Great win Cartman. I thought for sure we had your number after the quick start but there just wasn't any room in the running game for us to keep drives going. Check out that 1st Locker INT on replay if you can. Pretty cool, looks like your Dlineman tipped it straight into the air and it was just a jump ball after that. Haven't seen that before. Either that or it was a glitch goddammit...heh. Good luck the rest of the way.

Yeah, that was pretty cool. I know it is painful, but I also liked the hi-lo my guys did on Locker to cause a fumble when you were driving for a score.

Kansas with a strong running attack gave USC all we could handle today in the coliseum as Barkley had an uncharacteristically erratic day. They went up 21-20 with 1:27 left, but Dillon Baxter, who got his first start, had 2 big runs to get us set up for a quick TD run by Baxter. Then, Galippo got a pick 6 with 13 seconds left for the final margin of 33-21.

Baxter was the player of the game with 20 carries for 222 yards and 2 TD's. He has incredible elusiveness.

Edit to add: Oh yeah, we are all set to advance

41-20 win. Thank god Herron took the kick back for the score to tie things at 10, I was beginning to get unpleasant flashbacks.

Five Notre Dame turnovers make for an easy win for the Spartans, 37-19. Crist threw the ball 59 times and I think he ended up on his back 52 times. He did manage over 400 yards though. Greg Jones had 12 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries. I'm going to miss him, he set the tone early with tackles on the first 5 plays of the game.

Texas Tech's offense gave us a huge scare in the 1st half, but we managed to get a pick 6 and a few stops in the 2nd half and pulled away for a 55-34 win. Baxter had another great game including an untouched 41 yard TD in the 2nd quarter that I uploaded video of.
