Welp, cmp beat us like a red-headed stepchild, 38-7. Or something like that. When I was grabbing highlights, it said I was disconnected from Xbox live (even though I could still see people in my friends list). Right now the game is frozen on a connection lost screen after I tried to exit the game. I don't think it reported our results...

This sucks.

Must be something with the online dynasty servers. About 10 minutes ago my game froze while I was up 14 in the 4th quarter. It gave the in-game update on QB stats, but sat there. The console wasn't frozen, because I could still bring up the center button menu, but the game never would go back to action.

Okay, looks like the score was reported, so we're good there.

Here are my tips for playing cmp. Stop Derek Moye, a tall, fast receiver that likes to go across the middle from the slot. You'll need to be able to stop this. Here are his 4 receptions today:

This last one was particularly galling, as we almost sacked the QB. As Maxwell Smart said, "Missed by that much."

If you can stop that, and Royster runs to the outside, you have a chance.

Unfortunately, my attempts to stop Royster to the outside allowed Moye over the middle. Maybe you will have a better strategy to stop cmp than I had.

Good game, cmp.

We knock over Iowa 24-3, after they went 1 for 5 in the red zone. William Gholston is becoming a beast.

I thought we were in deep trouble when Dillon Baxter went out with an injury early (ending his very slim chances at the Heisman his freshman year) and Oklahoma jumped to a 14-0 lead on a ridiculous play by Broyles (uploaded), but our defense clamped down and we had 21 unanswered points the rest of the 1st half. Defenses dominated the 3rd quarter, but the offenses came back to life in the 4th. We won the game 31-17.

Ok, Mike. This time I think we play for real

I can play tonight if we start before 8. Friday evening is probably ok as well. Saturday during the day when USC isn't playing is fine. Sunday early is also good. Let me know what works for you.

63-10 win over Notre Dame for Penn State. We lost Royster for probably the year however. He had 24 carries for 137 yards and 3 touchdowns before the injury. His backup, Stephfon Green, had 3 carries for 25 yards but was hurt earlier. So, we turned to 3rd stringer Curtis Dukes who carried the ball 25 times for 212 yards and 2 TD's. 4th string back Brandon Beachum had 12 carries for 63 yards and 2 TD's.

Mike and I just played an epic game. It seemed like neither offense could be stopped in the 1st half as Florida had epic long drives while USC struck quickly with 2 big plays (including a very ill advised pass that Prater turned into a leaping TD.) We had the ball with 2 minutes left in the half, tied 14-14, but we got arrogant and went for a kill shot and backfired giving Florida the ball back with 24 seconds or so. They executed a great drive to get into FG range and take a 17-14 lead.

However, the in the 2nd half, both defenses stepped up and we held Florida to a FG while we got a 23 yard TD run by Bradford (after Baxter was knocked out of the game by a vicious hit.) However, Florida's defense held late and gave them a chance to score with 2 minutes left to go ahead. But our defense picked off Brantley for the 2nd time in the half and we won the game 24-20. Nick Perry was a stud this game with 2 sacks and constant pressure. Galippo did a great job of shutting down Florida's rushing game. Baxter with 22 carries for 124 yards and it was his run threat that set up our 2 big pass plays.

Spartans roll to a 63-14 win, our offense scored on every possession except 2. (an INT in the red zone and a kneel down in the red zone to end the game) Really starting to think the sliders need a good tweaking, we had 643 yards to Minnesota's 180.

sorry for the beatdown, kcchief. My D line was in Gabbert's face all game long, and my offense was clicking after a slow first quarter.

We spotted WSU 10 points on a FG and a terrible pick 6 by Barkley. But after that, everything went our way. We could have hung 90 or more but we let up in the 2nd half and still won 63-10.

OSU was up 21-10 entering the fourth (or 21-13 they had the FG Right around the end of the third q).. and we just couldn't do anything in the fourth. They took the lead, we got nine yards n 4th and 10, and an 11 man sellout on trying to stop them late meant we lost 35-21.

Think I had the outside runs at least semi-neutralized there for a while, I think I was giving you looks you had a hard time adjusting to, CMP

Yeah I definitely did struggle there for a while. Lost my second string RB now so now I'm down to my 3rd stringer for a few weeks. I don't like going to a passing game much but had to for a bit to stay in it.

Hey Gramm. When is a good time for you? I'm usually available after 10 pm EST. Although I can play during the day too during the week.

UCLA gave us a surprisingly tough 1st half in which we couldn't stop their offense, but in the 3rd quarter our defense stepped up, and then in the 4th quarter Shareece Wright had a big 100 yard pick 6 that put us completely in control and we won the game 42-17.

We roll on Purdue, they scored 28 on us but it was over after a 21-0 start. We lost Caper early in the game and he didn't return but Baker took advantage. The win sets up a Big Ten Championship game next week at Penn State.

I'm usually good after 10pm too. I will be on in a minute tonight. If that does not work out, do you want to shoot for about 10:30pm Monday night?

Do any days later in the week work? I'd rather avoid playing during MNF if possible, but if that's the only night that works, then Monday night would work.

Most nights will work for me. We can shoot for Tuesday night if you want. Or after MNF, depending upon how late you want to play.

I wasn't able to stop FAU's QB. He threw for over 500 yards! But I was able to make enough stops to hold them to 21 points.

We didn't really get much going before the 2nd half, and by then it was too late. We were at least able to put up some offense in the 2nd half, which is better than we have done of late. Good game, Gramm. You just had us outmatched. (I was sorry to see Clay return to the game. )

Yeah, good game Kodos. The third quarter was crazy. Every other play was a score there for a while.

I'm pretty sure Clay will be going pro at seasons end

On the other hand, Denard Robinson will just become more beastly.

Good luck with the rest of the season.
