We have a Teams channel at work dedicated to doing this every day. I haven't missed one since I started, I think 8 or 9 in a row.

I mean, usually I get there in 4 attempts, but 5 (even 6) isn't uncommon.

First time playing. Took me to the 6th try to get it. Thought I had it on the 4th guess when the first three turned green, but then grey, grey. But that really narrowed it down for me.

Had to see what hard mode is all about.

I have been playing hard mode on my own from the beginning. I think not using letters I already know are in the word is a waste of a turn.

I didn't have hard mode on, but it didn't occur to me to not use letters I had already gotten.

well what people do is choose 5 letters they did not use on the first turn and thus getting it on the third turn becomes trivial.

Okay, I think the issue with the grid is using the Quick Reply. For whatever reason, you have to go to the "Reply To Thread" screen. If you use the Quick Reply box, it doesn't work.

Folks at work have a fun addition to hard mode: you have to start each puzzle with the word that was the answer the day before. I tried it today and like the twist.

edit: how on earth do you attach a picture of your wordle here? I can't paste it in, I can't upload an image successfully via attachments, links to imgur don't work...

Actually had the correct word typed in on my 2nd attempt, then changed the first letter before submitting, because I thought the letter had a better chance of scoring a "hit" for future guesses.

You just have to click the [share] button at the Wordle site and then use 'paste' in the message writing box.
