Last night's didn't even wake us.

Today's felt really strong, but I think it was more the sound in my office building.

Last night's felt stronger to me than today's but last night I was in Fullerton and only 4-5 miles away from the epicenter. Today I am in Rancho Cucamonga and a good 25-30 miles away from the epicenter.

My office is at Tustin and Orangethrope, just down the street from the epicenter (4 miles).

Didn't wake last night, today felt pretty gentle in Hollywood but that's a fair distance away. Won't be stopping under any freeway bridges for the rest of the day, that's for sure

Yup, I know that exact intersection, and, yes, it is very close to the epicenter. Glad you're okay.

We felt a fairly gentle roll in Corona last night but I'm in Santa Ana today and it was a pretty good shake this morning.

You are thinking Tustin the city, I'm talking Tustin the street. Red Hill and Edinger is next to the blimp hangers! Also Micro Center!

Yup, Tustin the city, I was assuming the street was also in Tustin.

Worked right across the street from those giant hangers. Giant hangers seem to follow me around. Now that I'm up in the bay area, when I lived in Santa Clara, I wasn't far from the giant hangers at Moffett field. Coincidence?

Unfortunately yes. I actually live about 1000 feet from it. Their quality has gone downhill the last 5 years.

Really? I haven't been there in a few years myself. But I would often go when I was at UCI. What happened? New ownership?

I know the owner died or something and the son or someone took over. I think part of it is that I know what good smoked ribs taste like and their baked ribs don't compare.

Should there be like a "California Earthquake" persistent thread, kindof like the "Winter weather sucks" or "Summer weather sucks" threads?

Yah, that's by far the worst one I've felt in my 8 or so years out here. Not big on the Richter scale but quite shallow and pretty close as well

Well that woke me up...other than that it just knocked some DVDs off the shelf and made me remember I don't have anything good to hide under in the event of a bigger quake. Felt bigger than any other I can remember in the 11 years I've lived in the valley though.

I live along the Anaheim/Buena Park border. It was a good jolt but nothing fell over. My PC mouse moved, waking it up from sleep.

I did! Although not as much as I would have at home, which is closer to La Habra. I was at my night job in Yorba Linda. I was near the bar. The bartender looked like she was about to book it out the door!

From a Disneyland site:

Quote:
Southern California had a series of earthquakes this evening (March 28th) beginning at 8:03pm. The first quake, a 3.6 located in La Habra (relatively close to Disneyland), caused Disneyland to shut down the attractions. Just as some of the rides were reopening, a second larger quake (5.1) shook the park hard causing all rides and shows to be immediately stopped and rides evacuated. Entries into the park were limited and guests swarmed out of Disneyland as all attractions were shut and Fireworks canceled. As of 10:45pm, rides are reopening, guests are once again being allowed into the park and Fantasmic is currently running. No damage has been reported.

Must have been more localized than the one a couple weeks ago even though it was a bigger number, we were at universal studios with a fair amount of other people queuing up for a ride, and nobody felt a thing
