Eccentric

I've always been told I'm eccentric so going to post things in here so I don't get other threads off topic. My nephew in kindergarten drew a family picture and added me with the word eccentric, was suppose to describe family members.

I lurked on fofc since a few months before the second one came out. I don't think I would have ever posted anything except in the fof section if it weren't for Pumpy. He entertained me. So I tried to entertain him back. After we became forum friends I began to make a fool of myself to entertain people as I love to see people laugh. I had some very nice private messages from ST. Cronin saying he liked my humor. Sorry if that is misspelled and your wife lets you read this site now and you're reading this. Super nice guy.

I clicked on a link in this forum that took me to a tweet from TX LT. Governor. It was an inspirational message as far as I could tell, put in good effort and get good things back. But he was attacked because of the timing. Everything now days is getting more and more automatic. To attack him for that is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Then he apologizes. People should apologize to him. This world is ass backwards in my eccentric opinion.

In that case consider yourself fortunate you weren't an ethnic or cultural minority because then you would've been considered 'a danger to society' or 'better off dead or in jail.'

When I was in grade school there was a kid we called Egg Head. Someone was making fun of him and I stood up for him, saying maybe he was a little weird, but that just meant he was Eggcentric. Everybody laughed. He was not Muslim. I wasn't either. Still aren't.

I don't think I want to think about that. I don't think about what race I am, it's nice to have that luxury.

I'm not sure what you are saying, but if someone made a video and time stamped it tomorrow I would not believe that person is a time traveler.

To imply he was ok with someone killing 50 people on US soil is the biggest slam of slander I can remember hearing. I don't see how anyone but the emotional dysfunctional would think he is attacking them. These people do not need to be in position to make important decision like the news. I get being pissed, but does all logic go out the window?

I have no idea what he intended as he posted and I haven't commented on it.

But... it isn't any more outrageous that stating that Katrina hit New Orleans to wipe out sinners or that God caused a tornado to spare a church but kill others. There's a long history of people stating that tragedy befalls the wicked and spares the righteous.

I know of no politician that has ever said anything like that, would be end of his career.

This is about shocked seeing it reported. Kinda like when playing at dave and busters with my nephews who just got adopted. We were playing derby owners club, he breeds them and then ask me for a name. I tell him to make something up. He tells me he can't. I tell him to name it anything. He says he can't. This went on a few more times, I had to go home directly to bed. I just can't understand.

I'm imagining this going on for like 4 hours. "Just name him 'BUTTFACE' like a normal kid!!"

Having lurked here myself since 2000, I'd say we are all a bit eccentric. I just think that's a fancy way of saying you're interesting.

But my gf looks at me like I have loose squirrels in my head at times, but she's always laughing when she does it.

I see people trying to stand out all the time, I just want to be seen as normal by people or indifferent. I don't need to hear I"m awesome or interesting, I want to be liked for being good. Deep down that's how I am.

When you say something nice about me like I'm interesting. It make me want to disagree with you at a minimum. Make me feel like you're saying I'm doing a good job, like I can relax. I want to aim for the impossible and closest way to get there is to push myself.

I don't care about last texts. What the killers dad thought. Him trying to get body armor. Inside the trauma center...... These are all headlines. I want to know how we are going to end people that will kill you. How we will stop giving them money for oil so they can't operate fully. I want plan of action, not some high school drama stories.

When I'm upset at people on the internet I try and remember this - it kinda brings things into focus with regards to their import ..

I see both news sides promoting those stories, the rest of their site promotes their agenda. Nothing about how to end this from happening again. Want people to come together and eliminate people that kill people based on faith. Did not know that was not important here.

The post last night was about seeing gay flags in other countries to show support. I am concerned about the safety of the country, and this is turning into agenda stuff. Didn't expect any replies, was just venting. I care about the safety all people in this country and assume all here from US do too. I love to shoot guns, but it bothers me seeing FB friends talking about no more gun laws when focus should be making sure America is safe.

Was kinda busy when I first responded. Was not my intent to say that last comment when I responded. My first 5 thoughts usually are asshole things to say and was rushing the last part, usually nice.

I'm more into in person conversation than writing, I get bored. It's not you, it's me. I say things that aren't well explained. It's a talent, being seen as an idiot online. I know I'm this way, even when I try to be serious I don't communicate effectively.

I'm not trying to tell people what is right in this thread. Saw Pumpy do a 11 minute video in a car wash and thought he sure is social. I should be more social too online.

In part, that might be from subconsciously figuring that a lot of the audience knows your shorthand. And I think that tends to happen when we have a greater comfort level with a more familiar audience.

I fight that one constantly, not just here.

I will use one (seemingly) throwaway sentence at times to cover a much longer & more detailed concept. Then realize "oops, not everybody caught that being more than just a quick throwaway".

Trust me, you don't want your life to reach a point at which you're doing 11 minutes videos in car washes. That's pretty much the worst thing that can happen to a man besides menstrual cramps.

There's a lot of willful misunderstanding on the internets too: "I probably understand the gist of what you're saying and could cut you some slack, but am going to choose to instead question the specifics that might offend me." is a popular MO for everybody in text discussions.

I promise I'm not trying to hijack TCY Junkie's thread, but I'll just say that I'm likely to do another live broadcast late Friday night on my drive home from bowling. Because why not? There may or may not be a car wash involved.

I think I communicate better around new people, more stimulated. Once I get to know someone a little, I do communicate worse. But then back the other way after getting to know them better. Definitely terrible writing. I will read something I wrote 5 times the way I meant to write and it will not be what I meant to write. Have to say it out loud most the time to catch an error.

Jerkface Turd. That's what my girlfriend calls me, told me it's a term of endearment....

While I respect your expertise in the area, how about lights burning you? I'm tough, as long as you don't put a light on me. haha. I'm almost albino. First date with gf she wants yogurt so we go. About 30 minutes in, it gets dark outside so they turn on some more light. We talk another 90 minutes. I start to itch, I look at my arm. It isn't red, it is purple. I told her it's nice to get to know you, got to go. Took benadryl for 2 days. Thought it was better. Went somewhere with cousin and he asks me why my arms are red when I was driving. I then feel burning pain and itching. Wore a jacket for 3 weeks in middle of June in TX. Called gf week later......she said she knew I dumped her as quickly as I left. You realize you are getting burnt by some weak ass lights and it freaks you out, you leave that place at once. Also, I called her back because I talked to her with my arms burning and didn't notice it.

I've been less blissful about life than I have in past trying to follow news. Do I listen to foxnews or cnn, or both. Don't like either so stuck looking at both to try to find out actual happen. Why I hadn't logged in on this even though I wanted to comment on a few things.

My GF is my best friend, lucky to have met her. If it wasn't not for things with my dad going horribly bad, him not wanting to enjoy life and such. I wouldn't have met her. Lucky to meet someone who want to accomplish things in life together and have your back.

Someone mentioned I should consider myself lucky being white. I don't. I consider myself lucky to have good health. I think looking at race and feeling another is treated crappy, well that makes one feel bad about one self. I try to help people as much as I can, not just a certain race. Want people to get along. Races are different and so are individuals, if you view someone a certain way because of their race you are only cheating yourself.

And here are things people probably disagree with me on. I don't care what people do in their privacy but having your life centered around what sex you prefer is creepy. Kids should be taught to grow up and accomplish thing in life. I know if when I was little they talked openly about gay people, I would think about that. Think about what I like and prefer. Self centered things, not how I could leave a positive impact.

Saw the video of guy in LA getting shot. If the roles were reversed and cops was black and guy on ground was white, I'd be glad the guy got shot instead of possibly the cop. Doesn't matter if cop is white, black, or purple. Or Guy shot was white, black, or purple.

When I think about cops, I think about just a guy down the road trying to make a living. Putting his life on the line. For some reason I don't feel the same connection with FBI or similar. I don't see how people can hate cops like they do. I've been pulled over too many times to count, have never had a problem. Had one apologize for writing me a ticket. Times have definitely changed though, when I was little every time my dad got pulled over he'd hop out of his car and jump in the cops car and talk to him.
