That is the thing that annoys me. Vote for someone because you agree with their policies, or vote along party lines, but don't vote for a candidate, black or white, because of the color of their skin.

Not to mention if Romney won and I posted " I am so pumped, my president is white!" I would be crucified.

Just irks me.

And someone on FB for me posted nearly the same thing and added that he will soon be the owner of his three kids votes, too when they turn 18.....

I hope you're right. I don't think the argument about eliminating violence and cartels hold much water, imo. There is a good reason a lot of workplaces have drug testing policies. We have way too many medicinal mj shops all over town for the relative few people would legally benefit medically from such and how many more shops would set up if this were to take place?

He always came across as somebody you didn't want to confront. I saw a clip of him earlier during the election where he was doing a radio show, and he eventually walked off. I was born and raise as much of a republican as anybody, and I couldn't stand the guy.

On BBC News it lists the number of electoral voted needed to win. It has Obama currently at 281 with -11 needed.

Four years ago I voted Obama, though I liked McCain. I didn't like the campaign run by McCain, as it seemed like he was playing along with what he was told to do rather than being John McCain. Other than the whole Palin VP thing I wouldn't have been at all upset if he won.

The thought of a President Mitt Romney made be feel ill. And I had/have the utmost respect for his father.

I don't see legalization causing a bunch of new smokers to emerge. Knowing that it is legal, I would much rather drive somewhere first and then smoke there. I can understand the not wanting to smell it sentiment, although I have never really found the odor to be off putting really.. If it is done the same way as alcohol, then driving stoned could get you a DUI anyway, so why risk it when you don't have to anymore?

I know we're talking about potheads, but I must view them in a more favorable light because I didn't know many stupid ones. Most of them were intelligent and thoughtful enough to be respectful of their fellow citizens. The ones that tended to be more thoughtless were also popping pills and drinking and other dumb shit. I think this will be a net positive for Colorado, especially with regard to their economy and crime rates. Drug dealers are going to have a much smaller base to deal to if it becomes widely available like alcohol.

Wow - Obama apparently took 75% of the Latino vote

90% in Nevada and Colorado, and key support from Puerto Ricans in the I-4 corridor to counteract the Cuban vote (64%) for Romney.

Not to knock your stance, but I think this is the problem with the small government crowd. They tout they want government out of things but always find excuses to interfere in things they care about.

I honestly don't think this is going to matter much. My brother lives there and when I texted him about it the first thing he said was it's pretty much legal anyway.

What I don't get is people who claim they don't want to deal with people driving under the influence of marijuana who refuse to ban alcohol too.

Looks like the senate projections have been largely (if not 100%) accurate at this point.
