THE ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS MOVIE TOURNAMENT!!

Taking nominations for the ultimate Christmas movie, as voted on by the fine people of FOFC!

This will be a 32 movie death match until we find the ultimate holly jolly viewing experience. Nominate in the thread below and I will seed the top 32 selections then we choose in a no holds barred tournament with the winner to be announced Christmas Eve, unless I'm too drunk.

If we have enough I will bump to 64

Nominate below.

Are we considering Christmas specials movies? Like Grinch, Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Frosty, etc? I'm thinking not as that would mean like a good quarter of the bracket might be those, but I'm looking for a ruling from the judges.

Btw, since I learned this tidbit I have been dieing to use it. Did you know who the original actor who was offered the lead role in Die Hard? It was Frank Sinatra. Die Hard is based of a book series about a cop from Brooklyn who was going through a divorce. The first movie "The Detective" starred Frank Sinatra, and by contract he had the first right to refusal of any sequel. So, at 70 he was offered the role and obviously passed.

I'm going to need to watch that again. It doesn't stand out in my memory, but I love Ryan Reynolds.

Some repeats, but:

Santa Claus the Movie (the Dudley Moore one)
Gremlins
Better off Dead
Home Alone
Santa Clause
A Christmas Story
The Ref
And if Die Hard is in there, Die Hard 2 must be as well.

+1

This is really a tournament for "which movie is losing to Die Hard in the finals."
