A little flaky with the physic and astrology stuff, but she seemed to be a fundamentally good person that deeply loved her husband. RIP and God bless.

She really did transform the modern First Lady role with her visibility on major policy topics in a way that paved the door for what Hillary did in the 90s.

I was of just the right age where I feel like Nancy's kid-focused 'Just Say No' campaign may have been one of the most culturally significant and transformative things in my life (for both better and worse, depending on the time/context), both because of it's direct effect on me, and the collective effect on everything/everybody else surrounding me. Over-reaction to the introduction of AIDs and coke/crack abuse kind of resulted in this generational pocket of prudish, Puritanical kids (relative to the generations immediately before and after), and I think of Nancy as kind of being the driving force behind that cultural shift.
