Starting to feel like the offense has gotten very conservative.

Another great defensive game from the Longhorns, winning 28-7. They made their usual 3rd quarter offensive disappearing act. When they were sitting at 2-4, a bowl didn't look likely, but they qualified. If they play defense like this on Thanksgiving night, the TCU game should be interesting.

Why do college marching bands play The Imperial March when the other team is driving on offense? Are they trying to make the other team seem awesome and unstoppable?

Amusingly we were saying that about Auburn last year until FSU beat them.

I guess there are positives that can be taken away from a game like this but I won't see those for a while.

Yeah, but Auburn wasn't consistently coming back from double digit deficits. They had two last second miracles. This was the 3rd game that FSU has been down double digits that they've won.

GT was also held to season lows in yards and rushing yards today by Clemson if I am not mistaken.

I'm not going to be a sore sport and cry because injuries are part of the game and GT overcame an injury to their starting HB as well.

Its a shame that we have ourselves in this situation at QB because of recruiting mistakes and misses.

Congrats to the resident Jacket fans. No doubt they railed the Tigers today.

That game was entirely about Watson afaic.

Excited about the guts the Mizzou team continues to show. They were missing two of their four starting defensive backfield, yet still managed to do a good job of slowing the A&M offense. Got two games against .500 teams to win the East and head to the SEC Championship again.

Banner day, GT whoops up on Clemson (for a change) and RU becomes bowl eligible in their first season in the BIG and could actually finish with 7 wins if they beat Maryland (they will get stomped by MSU).

He shouldn't win, but I hope JT Barrett gets a little Heisman love. He's had a hell of a season.

I said that about Watson earlier in the week (I think it was here, maybe somewhere else though?) And that's pretty much how it played out.

edit: officially not fired, they are saying stepping down. He'll coach the last two games.

They beat a team that's simply not very good offensively without Watson.

Tech was good enough, thankfully, to take advantage of the opportunities Stoudt gave them. And the offense avoided mistakes that would have pissed those away.

My next rankings will have GT all the way up to 16th ... I'm just not remotely convinced they won't lose by 40 to UGA, in which case none of this matters one iota to me.

MRIs complete and Watson has no ligament damage.
Isolated Sprain of the LCL and a bone bruise. May be able to return for SC.

For those who have argued Watson wouldn't make a difference a couple stats for you. Waston leads the nation in yards per attempt (for all QBs with 100+ attempts) and is second in QBR only to Mariota.

Again I take nothing away from GT they won the game against the opponent presented, but to say they would have won regardless of QB is naive and I'd guess wrong. But it doesnt matter. They didnt have to beat the hypothetical only the reality and they won that handily.

Let's see how long it takes them to get this done or will he magically be on the field vs. OSU.

It won't matter, but how many times has one of the team's best players missed the big game due to some wrong doing on their part?

It is the model of sports. All they have to do is take two weeks to "gather all of the facts."
