I have been a big fan pretty much the entire run and still watch most of the episodes. Plus the FX site where you can watch any of the episodes via streaming is great!

I loved the show and still do. That said, I haven't watched it in at least 15 years. I have some DVD box sets from earlier seasons. The show was great. It might still be really good, but since I haven't watched in looong time I can't really judge it.

I still DVR it but I never get around to watching it and probably have only seen 4-5 full episodes since around 2004, when I surely watched every single one prior to that. I still get my daily dose of old timey Simpsons goodness at /r/Simpsons. So it's weird that that there's about 10 seasons of new episodes for me to watch out there. 1999 molson would never have believed that was possible. I should really make an effort to check some of the newer stuff out.

The newer stuff (post-2000) just doesn't have the magic anymore.

I have to disagree that it's all the same past 2000 - to me it went though a bad stretch in the early 2000s where it really was pretty bad but it rallied and in the last few years has gotten quite good again - not every episode but a lot of them.

I'm not so sure it's the show that doesn't have the magic anymore. I just don't keep up with newer entertainment and so I miss many of the references that are made now.

The first ten seasons were magical for me. But I'd bet someone born in the 90's or later wouldn't get a lot of the humor.

I haven't watched new episodes in a long time but it was probably my favorite show growing up and I'm loving the FXX marathons when I've got nothing in mind to watch.

Used to watch it but I haven't really watched it in years. Saw one recently and thought it was awful. For the record, that was a more recent episode that I saw. Guess it has gone downhill.

Unfortunately not, but if you are a cable subscriber you can see all the episodes here --- Everything Simpsons | Simpsons World

And if you aren't, but don't mind lot less resolution, bugginess you can try Watch The Simpsons online for free!.

Loved it growing up, but the writing changed drastically at some point around maybe season 10 or so into the more zany/random type of humour ala other popular cartoons, and it lost a lot of its appeal for me.

This is pretty much my opinion as well. I think it got so awful that a lot of people gave up on it, but it has been on the uptick for more than a few years now.

I have watched an isolated episode here and there in the past couple of years. I rarely laughed even once. Here are these beloved characters and settings, and yet they can't make me laugh. It is my all-time favorite comedy show based on the glory years, but it needs to be put out of its misery.
