No 1 Florida goes down 38-33 to Tennessee.
It was the classic CPU predetermining that I was going to lose! They seemingly knew every play I called and their RB was unstoppable 20 carries for 235 yds and 2 60+ TD runs. I had several times where my WR's were wide open they catch the ball turn and drop it! I also had 2 Ints returned for TD's. I tried to make a last ditch effort to get back into the game my backup QB rallied and threw 3 TD's in the 4th but I couldn't recover an onside kick with 50 seconds left. Time to regroup and give the Tebow speech and see if I can fight back into the title hunt!!! Last edited by Mike1409 : 02-13-2009 at 10:50 PM. |

For some reason, Cal seems to always give me trouble in my dynasties. They played us very tough holding us to 7 in the first half. In the 2nd half, they got a garbage time TD to make it the final score of 28-15. That will probably end McKnight's Heisman hopes as he just isn't getting the super human efforts that will be required to win it in this league. Still, he had a nice day with 20 carries for 126 yards and 2 TD's as well as 6 catches for 77 yards.

As mentioned in my other thread, my 360 RROD'd. I assume you guys can still do your stuff because everything should be on EA's servers.

Well...PSU just obliterated Troy today (rated 69 OVR). The final score was 60 something to 17, and it wasn't nearly that close. My Sophomore QB Marcus Castillo tore up their Defense for 550+ yards and numerous touchdowns, while Heisman front runner Zach Wright once again dodged and blew by defenders left and right on his way to a 300+ yard day, with 5 TD's. Next week will be our first big test, travelling to play @ Ohio State and their 99 accross the board team. Our 84 OVR team on paper doesn't stand a chance, so we'll have to make the best of the breaks we get, and play smart football the entire game.

Notre Dame took our rival Michigan State behind the shed, with a 55-36 victory. The star of the game was our halfback Brett Thomas, running the ball 31 times for 146 yards and 4 touchdownds; and catching 9 passes for 158 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Before news of the RROD reached me, Missouri stat-whored North Texas 81-50. Absolutely zero speed and tackling ability on defense but I got some big receivers who can burn and tricks up my sleeve. We turned the ball over once but otherwise scored on every other possession. Of course, North Texas scored on a hell of a lot of their possessions too. I wasn't really trying to stat-whore it up, I just wanted to win the game convincingly, and since I couldn't stop them I just kept scoring myself.
Every Missouri game will be a track meet. |

Michigan beats a scrappy Washington team 51-31 at the Big House. I honestly believe if UW had more speed, they win this game. Their offense was clicking with deep passes, but our O was just too much for their defense when I needed it.
GG Smooth, will be fun coming to UW next year. |

Your running game seems to really step up when you need it the most. It kept giving me fits in the second half.

Woot! It's back! I haven't gotten to test it to see that it actually works, but at least it's here. And the wife might be taking the kids over to Grandma's house tonight, so I may get to play earlier than midnight. Keep crossing your fingers!

Well, Mr. Smartypants, I'm done now, but three other guys aren't. ==== Our game against the Chippewas of Central Michigan went mostly like this today: Luckily, Scott Allen had this kind of day: So we managed to pull out a 42-35 win, despite the fact that I was playing shitty and making stupid decision after stupid decision. Clemson defeats Boston College 38-17 in Chestnut Hill. My defense played amazingly well, no thanks to me. DaQuan Bowers had two more sacks, increasing his awesome totals. Hopefully he sticks around one more season.
GG, Foz. Once you get more to work with, I'm sure we'll be fighting for conference titles. Just a talent gulf.
