No rush, my cable company seems to have fucked up royally and cut my service off, saying I can't get reconnected until the 14th.. Working on getting that remedied, however.. Since I am not behind on my bill and I asked them to keep my service running.

Lucky for me, my neighbor has a strong wi-fi signal I can leach off of for temporaries. I have a wireless adapter for the 360 on the way to see if I can still manage to play through that.

Update: Cable company fixed the issue, I'm actually going to have to commend them on getting it done quickly and with no hassle. It apparently was a problem on the HQ end, not my local branch.

Holy cow, no defense on these settings eh?

We lost 63-56 to Tulsa in double OT.. Tulsa had 495 yards of offense, We had 677. Turnovers killed us, we were playing catch up most of the game and gambling a lot. QB had almost 600 passing yards 6 TD's, 6 picks. heh.

I'm hoping this was an anomaly, but after one game I am having a hard time seeing how these sliders are realistic if they are the ones OS is touting as such.

With the sliders Eaglesfan was posting and a slight tweak up on human QB accuracy and CPU running ability, I think games would be a lot more enjoyable. I can barely hit 400 yards on a good day with those sliders using my UTSA Ladder team in an SP dynasty.

Maybe my thoughts will change after a couple more games, but we'll see.

Well we hung on and won...barely.

I cant play defense regardless of sliders, apparently.

I held them to 3 FGs but otherwise it was bad.

BTW I played ANOTHER snow game (thats 7 out of 9 this year) this time against a team in white pants white jerseys and white helmets...I threw 2 INTs...1 of them I just KNEW was a sure slant for a TD I never saw the DB until it was picked off HAHA.

Here is what I am noticing and not sure if anyone else is.
Every slider change we have made, seems to take 2 weeks to effect game play.

Is that only me?

Can't say either way on that. I know one time we had sliders not take effect when I did them because I advanced weeks using the website. This time, I advanced in game, so they should have taken hold immediately.

The OS guy was pretty adamant that for the OS sliders to work correctly, the coaches all had to be edited to 50/50 conservative/aggressive (or one notch under), which we couldn't do with the existing coaches in the Pyramid (but which I have done for the Ladder's upcoming creation in 2014). I've also been editing the coach trees per this thread.

HUGE win for South Alabama! That gives us a 2nd conference win, while winless UNC got beaten again by Clemson. UNC is 0-6 in conference play, they travel to Miami next week, if Miami wins, there's no way I can finish last place and I'm safe from relegation. If UNC wins, it probably sets up a UNC/South Alabama showdown for relegation.

heybrad,

I just landed, I won't be available until late tonight / tomorrow night or Weds evening after 9 pm EST to play.

Let me know what works the best for you, if I can't slot the time, no worries playing the game without me. Travel schedule and whatnot has hurt me lately.

I just got back yesterday and have a long day of work scheduled today so tonight is probably out for me. I have 7pm appts on both Tuesday and Wednesday but should be home by 8:30. Weds may be the best option. I'm in the same boat as far as if it's easier for you to play the game without me, that works too.

There's no time pressure here. I haven't gotten my game in either because I have been wrapped up in getting the Ladder transferred to NCAA 2014. I would rather wait than have someone play against the computer.

Macro... In keeping with my theme of 2014, I have another emergency tonight and can't play the game. I know Kodos isn't playing until Saturday but I'm perfectly fine with you playing the game without me at this point. It's totally your choice. Just let me know what you'd like to do.

2014 can't end soon enough.

After allowing NC State to score 38 in the first half, we shut them out in the second half, and scored 21 to win 42-38. Finally, a conference win. In the second half, we dared them to pass it on us, and they never did.

So based on my latest set of issues, I won't be around to play until Thursday. Honestly, I'd rather the game just get played at this point as I feel really bad that I'm holding everything up.

Game Complete, we won 40-28. ODU played tough and had 1 bad qtr which was the third.

I did realize this while playing the game. Last season heybrad had to play without me because of connection issues.

anyway I think we can move forward.

So then we're even and we can potentially settle things in a 3rd matchup although I suspect you're getting promoted after this season.

Yeah, I'm pretty much available any time this week. Wanna plan to play tomorrow night, say around 8pm Central?

I could probably play a little earlier than that, but I go to work at 20 after 9 Central, so I am not certain we would be done in time if we started at 8. Friday or Saturday night I can do 8 Central no problem since I am off those nights.

We beat Clemson 40-29 on the road. Passing seemed very easy. Clemson was 14-19 for 290ish yards, I was 23-29 for 315 yards or so. Each team had one sack i believe.

It seemed like it was headed for one of those 76-70 "whoever touches the ball last wins" types of games. First half each team scored a TD on every possession with ease. Second half we got a 3rd down stop, and there were a couple picks and things slowed down a bit

Of course, this was a road game against a team with an OVR rating 25 points higher than me, so there's that.

We won.
Semi-easily...

But not nearly the same play as what I saw in the Ladder game.

We took down #22 Army but we didn't break it open until the 4th qtr.

Army led us going into the last two minutes of the first half then we were able to drive down and score going in at half with a 3 point lead.

Then we kept the lead going up until the 4th where we were tied with them and a few key stops helped us.

This third string QB is shocking me, but I will still like to get #1 or #2 back eventually, they are still listed as Questionable and they have been out since game 1.

Sounds good. I'm tempted to get my ass beat on purpose since I got handed the better chance against Georgia in the Ladder... You'll probably beat me anyway though, so I'll give it my best.

My QB is incredibly streaky. He'll sometime go 10 passes without getting close to the receiver, then other times he can't miss. My main RB is awesome, but he gets injured very easily.
