For a pre game break down....
The WSU cougars are rated 86 overall, with a 90 offense and an 83 defense.
We match up against the UTEP MINERS at 81 overall, 88 offense and 75defense.

Clearly offense is the strength of both teams ...as UTEP has the Heisman winner and WSU has the runner up...

Should be fun.

Good game gramm.

My players seemed to be stuck in mud the whole game we just couldn't keep up with you. I don't think I prevented you from scoring a single time.

Whelp we will get to recruiting and come back gunning for you next year.

Good game CU, those OL nano blitzes were crazy. The scoring was much better matched after the first quarter.

I know what you mean about the muddy feeling. I don't play online games much anymore, but the slight lag and slowness throws you for a loop every time. Just feels weird.

I'm in a little trouble next season. Graduating the QB, top 2 RB, top3 WR and the 5th WR, 2 out of 2 TE and 2 starting OL. Ouch!

Educate me, what is an Oline nano blitz?
Is that what you were throwing at me everytime I tried to pass?

No, those wicked blitzes you were handing me. on a lot of those rushing plays your line was tackling me at the hand off. You had really good blitz penetration on the pass plays too.

Your passing was really working pretty decent. I think we both just had one sack each.

Ah...I really feel like I went away from the run game too much early and tried to force passes and that got me into trouble.

Twice in the first half I thought I had picks on you and we just dropped the ball. Then when we were trying to rally late I turned up the cause fumble and chopped at the ball made it pop free a few times but you always recovered.

I'm really not sure what to do on some of those passes you were getting in there. A couple times I had the right call and expect pass and the WR was covered you just made a great play. My Qb is a 55 Spd guy...obviously when I tried to run the option even if wide open he couldn't keep you honest.

Grats again on the win.

We destroyed a completely overmatched Colorado State team 42-7 to win the Cotton Bowl. Should have been more, we threw an INT in the red zone on our first drive and used chew clock for most of the second half to get it over with.

Everyone is now set to ready to advance.

Players Leaving - Deadline is 9/16 (Tues) at 11 p.m. EST

We're on to players leaving. As always, I recommend doing these stages in game. Sometimes the website introduces problems.

Sooooo many key players gone. Glad I didn't get a chance to get to know them much. Next year is going to be hellacious if we can't close on some of these recruits.

I'm only losing people to graduation, so I'm ready to advance.

I'm losing about 10 starters I think, but I had a decent class last year and have a top 15'ish class coming in this year, at least last time I looked. I think we'll improve enough/bring in enough good players that my team's rating should top 70 next year, but it probably won't be until year after next that we see a big spike upwards.

I think I mentioned this earlier, but I'm away from the game for the next week, hope I don't miss too much.

I'm typing this from a Miami hotel room, leaving on a cruise in the AM.

Kodos if I have any jr or lower can you try to convince to stay as a stand in for me?

Ouch, one of my top recruits from last year is leaving for playing time. He was an athlete that I set as a QB. I did play him as a second string Safety and he had two picks and several tackles last year. I should have set him as a Safety.

Oh well, I did get a steal of a 3 star QB in the incoming recruiting class with a low 80s arm strength and 96 accuracy. I really wanted to move the other guy to Safety in the off season, but I lost him.

Thanks for the hold up.
I made it pay off. Wise will start for me next year, I lied my ass off promising him 50+tackles and 15+sacks and 9+ starts to get him to stay.

Hope he lives up to it.

I may long regret not pushing harder for ATH EWING.

Had a 2,200 point lead going into the offseason and gave a conservative 3,000 points to him...lost to Wake by 9,000

a 95 Speed, 90 Elusiveness and 72 Vision back would have been a game changer for me..

I burned all my points on two highly rated ATH's and got them both, a 77 OVR guy who will probably convert to HB and a 74 rated guy who will either go WR or CB, I'm really thin at both, but WR's seem easier to recruit I think so I'll likely make this guy a corner.

In the end South Alabama brings in 10 guys rated 70+ out of 18 total, giving us the #17 recruiting class, beating out Washington State and UTEP by just a few spots for the top human class.
