Yeah, I'll be back at 5:55 to cast my votes.

I'll probably vote yes to both bills and then for speaker I'll vote PB, PF or myself. For wolf, I dunno yet

I stayed up waaaaay too late last night so I'm up now and getting caught up. It's funny, our daughter is in Cali for 3 weeks and I've reverted back to my old habbits of cleaning at the house at midnight

Okay, I want to get a bill out sometime in the 4 or 5 range at the latest. Any ideas on alternatives besides what Pass and I talked about earlier?

Time to slurry Lathum.

(although I think we should still take down henry, too)

If you're still around to see this, actually be back by 5:40 at the latest - your votes on the bills, and I think the speaker, will be penalized if they're posted 10 minutes or less than the deadline - just a heads up!

I saw talk about a vigilante bill and I was actually going to post something about it myself last night. Now that we have the seer and the seer communicator we can easily get a for sure kill of a wolf at some point without the seer being exposed.

OH damn! I didn't know the seer comm bill got overturned by the supreme court - I thought it was PMed to Olie or CR and it was deemed ok before hand...

The Interal Affairs Act

In so much as we as a Congress must be held acountable for our actions the position of "Interal Affairs Officer" shall be created.

This Officer, to be known as IAF, will each year submit a single member of congress to investigate. Photographic evidence of their activities during the year will be submitted before the Congress for review. If such Investigations should find a member to be of the Wolf Party in action further motions to censure that person will be considered at that time.

This position shall be given to an anonymous NON-wolf party meber of Congress.

Hows that?

Sortof, more like a spy/mole type role. They follow the person all year and investigate their activities.

Feel free to edit/modify it, it was just a reaction to ty asking for something to put out there so I came up with that.

I'll put my name on it for supporting/voting if needs be. ust make sure I get to read the final draft first

Well, we gotta start somewhere. CR didn't say we couldn't have more roles, he simply didn't like how powerful the combination of the two roles we had were when added to the seercomm role. This is something seperate and the information is made public for everyone to consider, I think it will go through.

I also like the idea of legislating away the abilities of the cunning wolf.

"Be it known that henceforth no person shall ever be exempt from the scrutiny of the seer or any other investigative authority that this congress shall make lawful."

Or how about this:

"Henceforth ALL riders to ANY legislation must be made publicly known prior to their attachment to a Bill"

The Investigative De-limitation Act (IDA)

IN as much as Congress must meet out the Wolf party threat, and such threats as will be brought about by the members of that party. it is hereby Legislated that no member of Congress shall be exempt from investigation, Study, or Seer Scanning for any reason.

Sorry man, didn't mean to blindside, I would've voted for myself had I had any capability of fulfilling it at all.

I just didn't like the idea of being stuck again. I vote for PF and they get the Speaker, especially since before they nom'd him I thought PF was a big time wolf. I vote for PB and it gets trumped up as how I'm too partisan and I'll lose my constituents.

So I voted for you since my constituents will love it and it stays on our side.

No slight here intended to PB. I don't think he's a necessarily "bad" choice, but he's not an ideal choice for the situation I'm in. If people want to keep the speaker, my compromise is that it's you instead.

I'm thinking if I win Speaker I'll put forth the "make all riders public first" legislation. Since it means open and honest government, I can't see how it would be unconstitutional, I mean, we should be trying to stop corruption, right

I think you're typically more sane than the lot we've got going.

I think that's a good bill to aim for tomorrow. Knowing riders in advance save us all from political hits for the veto.

I'm in and out of the thread today with stuff going on - as far as the bill that has been proposed, while it sounds great, I don't know that it's going to get by the supreme court. I personally think we should pull it now, with time to still put in place Render's original bill of the investigator - that has a better chance of passing - just my 2 cents.

I went ahead and voted support of our bill since I don't think we would have time to change it, but I just hope it passes the Supreme Court. I will be out until a little after 4pst.

I don't see why it wouldn't really. it simply eliminates a rider the wolf party already won, they have to come up with something new. Its not like we're stoppingthem from trying again, we're simply ountering their little piece of legi-wipe-tion with a counter measure.

I'll stand by it. Its a good trade off, we're not gaining anything while they lose something, it doesn't unbalance anything.

The Most Popular Politicians Among Party Members

1. illinifan999
2. Mrs. Schmidty
3. Passacaglia
4. Render
5. jeheinz72
6. Tyrith
7. PurdueBrad

Here are how the District Polling is shaping up

Tyrith (ahead in polls)
PurdueBrad (ahead in polls)
illinifan999 (automatically re-elected, as he is President)
Passacaglia (comfortably ahead)
jeheinz (ahead in polls)
Render (ahead in polls)

Note: There seems to be an effort from somewhere to attack the positions of PurdueBrad and Tyrith in their districts.

Also, there was a polling attack against Mrs. Schmidty, but it turns out she isn't very popular anywhere right now, so doesn't matter.
