NOFL: Proposed Rule (No Supersim)
Unless someone can give me a very good reason not to do so, I'm going to impose one rule now. No use of supersim. In another league, it led to a 153-13 win for Ohio State. The supersim doesn't take enough time off the clock and will vastly distort stats.
Also, as I posted in the other thread, all invites have been sent. Let me know if you haven't received yours.

I agree. I also think we should not be allowed to play FCS teams.

Agreed on both. Since I made the same rule in RFL.

Well with my vote that makes it 7, so it's officially passed. No supersim or FCS teams. I'll post the list of all teams tonight that currently have games against FCS teams. Alternatively, you can start a quick single player dynasty with your team to see if it has an FCS team on the schedule.

sure, that will work. I haven't played a game yet as Arkansas, so you might still have a chance.

actually nevermind, i'm just gonna reschedule with a cupcake sub-70 AI controlled team (Baylor). i got my work cut out for me as it is with lowly Duke, i don't need to increase the challenge by playing more humans.

Unfortunately, I cannot schedule a game for a team that already has a game that week.
Therefore, I need a new pick from Kodos or I need to know if you want to cancel the game in week 5 and play Army in Week 7. That is the only week they are available that is open in your schedule. If you want to stick in week 5, your choices are: Colorado, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Akron, Arkansas State, Bowling Green, and about 20 other teams that are of varying difficulties. I can list them all if you wish.

Baylor was available in week 1 and is now playing Duke.
Kentucky is now scheduled to play Miami of Ohio in week 2. Galaxy, I cannot put Western Kentucky in "week 15" because that is Championship week. However, I can put them in week 11. I'm going to do that, and I can always change it if you don't like that. Teams I still need to hear from on who to replace the FCS team with: Cartman, Kodos (since I couldn't give him his first choice), Kcchief, and Raiders Army.

Instead of doing the Western Kentucky in the week 15 thing, give us a home date with Idaho in week 2. Does that work for you?

No, Idaho is not available in week 2. Week 2 teams include (but not limited to): Army, Baylor, Bowling Green, Buffalo, and a few other easier teams. Plenty of higher level teams as well.
I'll do more scheduling tomorrow evening. |

Ok, I must be blind. How can I see which teams are available to choose from in Week 1?

Galaxy, instead of playing some wanna be Div II team, why don't you accept my challenge in the NOFL OOC thread?

I would be willing to switch out Georgia Tech on 9/20 to play you (and set up Georgia Tech vs. San Jose State). I like to keep my non-conference schedule rather soft due to the brutality of the SEC, with a team that is rated 74 overall. Last edited by Galaxy : 08-06-2008 at 10:24 PM. |

I'm more than likely not going to be able to even play my own 9/20 game, so I'm going to need to keep it as a soft team like SJST. My only open week is week 9.

Would week 9 be the week of 10/25 (we play Middle Tennessee State)? If we can switch out Georgia Tech for a soft team, I would be willing to switch out MTS that week for a date with Stanford. Last edited by Galaxy : 08-07-2008 at 12:10 AM. |

As I posted in the other thread, I'll try switching out your Georgia Tech game for a soft team, but I'm sure I won't be able to schedule any team for GT. I can only change the schedule directly of user controlled teams. |

Edit: Ok, I'm an idiot. I figured out the problem. I need to drop a game from Stanford's schedule to be able to schedule them in week 9 against Galaxy.
Which game do you want to drop, so you can play in week 9, Sun Tzu?

Sorry I missed this before now. Unfortunately, I don't think you can view that. I've posted a list in the other thread, but it is not exhaustive. There are some very good teams I didn't list. |
