This is more to get a feel for how much interest there is. Nothing has been set in stone. I think the early inclination is mid-level teams (perhaps in the MAC) with some sort of team draft.

We haven't come to a consensus, but the initial discussion was to have a draft that would determine the order in which we get to claim a team. Of course, we still have to settle on a conference once we have finalized the group of players.

Too early to commit for me...I'm afraid they won't have fixed the glaring issue of too many INT's. That was a gamekiller for me.

We may have enough interest to do 2 of these leagues when July comes around. Less than 2 months away now...wow.

Countdown til launch is at about a month and a half. I don't know if you guys want to get started organizing these leagues. EA Released the ratings for each team...

I'm down for just about whatever, outside of being the commish due mainly to the fact that I'm getting married in less than 3 months, which will eat into my free time more and more as the date approaches. Maybe a poll would be best, with only the guys from the league voting. Options like "all teams from one conference, random teams, random teams but all between 60-70 OVR Ratings" etc...

Fine fine...I'm in for at least one season (and a lot more if I buy the game).

The one thing we need to figure out is length of quarters. I bet a lot of people on here like to play the longer (8-12 minute) quarters. I personally am fine with 5-6 minute quarters. We should also gauge interest on various parameters such as difficulty, teams, quarter length, etc.

I don't want to be a commish, but I'd be happy to help try & get things started on here.

I think I play on either 6 or 7 minute quarters. I imagine playing with two short of quarters is better than too long, just to keep things fair statistically. I can't imagine playing on any difficulty level other than AA...but if the guys here are ballsy enough to play on Heisman then so be it. I think I remember readying that the game is designed to be the most realistic on AA though.

I'm in unless the first day reviews from the FOFC crowd are so bad that I end up not buying the game at all... and that doesn't look like it will happen this year.

I also prefer longer quarters - at least 8 mins. How long are we going to wait after release for a patch/the best sliders before starting the league?

I had a slider set that gave fairly good stats doing that last year, with the exception of a high number of interceptions.
