My recruiting is primarily focused at building some depth - we've got a pretty good roster, and are only losing a couple to graduation (so we got an OLB and DT that may never play but will fill roster spots), so I'm going for quality over quantity. Not expecting a big class, but we are getting some good contributors.

Would like a QB of the future, though, so we can redshirt him. That does not look likely, we may get to start a true freshman in 2018.

We win again and the nations leading RB Pierre Whaley again rushes for over 300 yards

Well, Miami of Ohio gave it their best up until the 3rd qtr where my offense started clicking and we went on to a 56-20 win.

We run the season undefeated and are waiting to see where we are ranked.

We started slow at their house, and with the early momentum, they jumped out 21-0, seeming unstoppable. By the mid 2nd quarter, we were just trying to save some face and stop the bleeding, but we managed to claw back to 21-10 at the half, with us receiving the kickoff post half time.

We didn't do much with that possession, then quickly found ourselves down 28-10 with our hopes waning. Managed to get a TD on our own and make it 28-17, but then Louisville drove on us again and took what seemed to be a close to insurmountable 35-17 lead after 3. We came out in the 4th determined to make something happen, but a 4th down gamble seemed to all but end our hopes, giving Louisville the ball again deep in our territory. Decided to call my guys on defense over and tell them to go for the ball on defense, then we blitzed them. At our 7, on a 3rd down and goal, we got the play we needed, a pick in the end zone to keep the deficit at 18.

Now we needed a quick strike. We set up with empty personnel and decided to try and no huddle it as quick as possible to get within shouting distance. We managed to score with 3:22 left- After going for 2 and failing, it was 35-23 Louisville. We decide to kick deep and try and get a quick 3 and out, and it pays off. We get a quick change with about 1:40 left. We have to go balls out, so we send 3 deep and the shortest of the 3 makes a catch and run that gives us a 35-29 score after another failed 2 point try. With 59 seconds left but all 3 time outs, we decide getting a 3 and out against 3 sure runs is easier than recovering an onside kick. We kick deep. We get 3 quick stops and find ourselves with the ball and about 35 seconds to score a TD with no time outs left.

The play that followed left the Louisville crowd stunned. We send everyone deep, and our QB buys some time. He steps up and launches a rocket that beats the safety down the sideline and our WR barely beats the corner to the ball to snag it.. He then out runs the diving CB and the S overruns the play, leaving him coasting into the end zone and me having one of those great gaming adrenaline rushes.. I was happy as hell, but hesitant to celebrate. Louisville and their dangerous QB were waiting for one last shot and a full complement of time outs.

They took the field 3 wide, so we responded with a nickel look, 3 deep zone. I blitzed the LB's, thinking shots over the middle when in need of 50 yards would be acceptable trade off to cover our asses and prevent a long bomb late. Their QB couldn't handle the pressure and was rushed into a throw to the RB in the flat, and we stopped him after a 3 yard gain. They lost about 6 seconds on the play and then we just dropped into prevent. They were unable to complete anything on their final 3 downs, and we knelt on it to seal up an amazing come back.

36-35 was the final. 10-3 after a 1-3 start, This team has come a long way and now we have some hardware and a BCS bid to try and finish way above my expectations. I was just hoping for a solid showing, but the building effort in UTSA already looks to be a success. Man did we have to earn it though.

Games like that one almost make me forget how much I dislike EA. The gems you find can be flawless, but they're generally buried in a ton of horseshit.

We had no problem with Michigan as our starting QB racked up well over 200 yards passing and a few TD's in the first half. Unfortunately, late in the 1st half he went down with a serious injury that will end his year (or is the bug still there where players come back right away?)

Fortunately, our mobile young QB stepped right up and had a big 2nd half to help us coast to a 49-0 victory.

We had to fight and claw to win, but a last-second field goal secured a 31-28 win for us over Cincinnati. Looks like we're movin' on up to the Big Ten!

Gratz on the win, but the Bug is no longer there. I have been without my HB1 and HB2 for about 2 games now and I will be without HB1 in the Bowl game. It has hampered my run game.

Thought so. My offense will be hampered against whoever we face next.

Won the SEC in the rematch with Florida. This was a back and forth game and the only lead I had was when I got the last touchdown of the game, and won 49-42.

Hey EF,

I'm going to be heading to Fort Worth this weekend for Christmas, but I'll bring the game with me and should be able to play at my cousin's house.

33-21 Sugar Bowl win over Colorado. We jumped out 24-7, but got a little conservative for a bit to run some clock, and they came back on us a little, but then we got a couple late picks to seal it. 2 key 4th down plays for us in this one, one was the one that put us up 24-7 and went for a 59 yard score, then another later in the game took it from 27-21 to 33-21 after we went for 2 and failed. Big game for our Soph QB Antwan Miller, he played his ass off and might start the whole year for us next year after the way he played this season.

The 59 yarder was one where it was 4th and 1 from our own 41, but we had been dominating the game to that point and decided to go for a kill shot instead of punting or trying to run it, so we gambled and they blitzed the nickel so the QB waited and just tossed one to the slot man and he out ran the safety.

The second TD on 4th down was with 2 minutes left and a 27-21 lead at around their 40 or so. We ran a short crossing pattern, and they blitzed the LB's this time, so Miller stood and took a shot as he delivered a floater over the middle that the receiver took for 6 on a nice run after the catch.

When a D+ team manages a bowl bid against a B+ team, you get finals like my Armed Forces Bowl win over Utah State, 49-7. We were up 42-0 at the half, put our 2nd string in, and only threw on 3rd down. We took our one drive of the 3rd all the way down. They managed one late TD, but we ran out the clock in the fourth. A comfortably boring win.

Cool. I am off the 23rd to 27th. Best time for me to play is during the day any day except Christmas.

If that doesn't work let me know and I can work something out.

Well FAU survived a scary game against Houston.
We RUSHED for over 500 yards while they threw for over 400 yards IN THE FIRST HALF.

Crazy crazy game but we held on for the win.

No poor grammar on the phone type.
They threw for 400 in the first half. Then were stuffed most of the 2nd half while I rushed for 500 yards in the game

I may try to get a different disc to see if that solves the problem. It's irritating because it'd be nice to be able to finish my best season.

Doesn't look like I'll be able to play until Tuesday at the earliest. The bulb went out on the LCD that my cousin's 360 is hooked up to. The new bulb is supposed to show up on Tuesday.

I'll be back at work Tuesday, but I'm off Weds and could carve out an hour to play sometime during that day if it works for you.
