I also got destroyed on the road, I couldn't stop Wake Forest's read option. I think they ran for 290 yards in the first half or something utterly absurd. I had two turnovers in a game where I needed to score every time I touched the ball to have a chance.

We lose our second in a row and this one sucks.

We scored at the end of the third quarter to take a 17 point lead. I inadvertently hit the wrong button on the XP and my team lined up for 2. Sensing that timeouts could be crucial later based on the last couple sequences I took a delay of game penalty and then went to kick the XP.

The game would not let me select FG. It was greyed out. I called aa timeout and still no dice so I was forced to go for two, even tougher since the DOG cost us 5 yards.

We failed and took a 16 point lead. They drove the ball better than they had all game, and scored a TD and got the 2 pt conversion. No sweat we had the ball an 8 point lead and only 5 minutes to go in the game. They intercepted a hand off (yep, shotgun RB draw and the OLB took the hand off from the QB) 1 play later TD and 2 pt conversion is good.

Now we have the ball 4 minutes and change and we are driving. Right down the field we go and soon have a first and 10 on the 12 with about 3 minutes left. We play for the 1st down and and try to prevent clock hi jinx. Its 3rd and 1 and I run up the gut wide open into the end zone for the touch down and the lead.

BUT WAIT...clipping on the offense (not even possible on an inside run between the tackle boxes but I digress) now its 3rd and 17. Then 4th and 2. Knowing better than to kick the FG with over a minutes to go I go for it...read option QB should make it but stumbles just short.

No worries. They only have a 1:15 and are on my 2.

Dollar Defense cover 6 and play the pass. It doesnt matter as they torch my D for 37 43 16 and a TD on 3 plays....

That wraps it up and we lose a heart breaker 37-30

Yeah, you will see the correct score. We lost to an FCS team. We got our asses handed to us.

This team sucks and I can't play in 14. I need to get used to the game I guess.

Broke our 2 game losing streak by beating Duke 45-0 in front of a large group of recruits.

Okay, let me get back to you. This weekend is complicated because my son has a birthday, and because I'm playing EF27 in the Ladder league Sunday night.

After work hours any time next week will also work. I work from home and don't have anything going on right now, so I'm very flexible. I can work around your schedule

That would probably be better for me. Maybe Monday night around 9:30?

I won big against the worst team in D1 but noticed a scary trend.

For the second week in a row (both games since the most recent tweak) I am totally unable to generate any pass rush.

Idaho threw the ball 42 times and despite blitzing plenty I recorded zero sacks and only 1 hurry. Something to keep an eye on as both my DE are rated in the mid 80s and were going against 502 and 54 rated OTs...I threw LB blitzes CB blitzes even a few zero emtpy blitzes and simply couldnt get there.

On the other side of the ball I was sacked 4 times in 16 pass plays..but my OTs are only mediocre in the mid 70s.

(Note: Not bitching simply putting the feedback out there for others to chime in on.)

Good game, Radii. In the second half, we just couldn't stop you to save our lives. Then we shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times. Alas. We kinda suck.

Good game Kodos. I feel like that might have gotten out of hand in the other direction if you'd been able to score after my second INT to open the game. I haven't played against people in a *long* time, those were some bad throws that might work against the CPU I can't control a CB to save my life, I was surprised how easily you took over the CB and picked that first one!

I think in the second half my running game just wore things down? It seemed like I started getting 6-8 yards on carries that were only going for 2-4 yards in the first half.

Next season we'll be at your house! Dunno how much the home field plays into any of it.

I think that win clinches the division title for South Alabama. Now to wait to see if Florida International wins on the other side to set up a title game between two human run teams.

I have not mastered the option just yet, and my defense ain't so good. I'm hoping that next year my Juco QB will help us execute better on offense.

Saturday night might be an option, or possibly a weeknight next week. Tonight and tomorrow night are out.

Georgia State is probably the worst team in Division 1, so no surprise that we beat them easily, but it doesn't matter. My top HB, #3 on the Heisman list currently, is hurt and out for 3 weeks, so he's going to miss the conference championship game. That's going to make things *much* tougher.

Good question, I was looking at that to see if I could figure out who I was going to play, it looks like all three of you guys went 1-1 against each other head to head, I have no idea what else matters.

Well we lost but probably the most fun realistic loss Ive had in this version.

We lead 17-7 at the half.
First drive of the 2nd half they go straight down the field to make it 17-14. We trade punts.then I have a drive going...

1st and 10 at the 13 late in the 3rd quarter a TD here makes it a 24 14 game and my D has been salty. QB scrambles (forced to play with back up QB all game as starter was killed last week) and has WR on a crossing route WIDE open in the back of the endzone...a brief pause to set his feet (very brief but a definite puase) and the pass for the back of the end zone goes errant to the 3 yard line and 5 yards off to the left and is picked off. Still we battle until Late in the 4th the D finally breaks down and surrenders the 21-17 late lead to Washington. We get the ball back with only 40 seconds and are mounting a drive. Alas on a 4th and 7 the WR bobbles the ball as he steps out of bounds and it is ruled a drop...the refs tell me I am not allowed to challenge that one. Then ont he next play Washington found Bo Jackson on the bench and he baarrelled through the line breaking 6 tackles (no exaggeration check the stats) on the way to a 34 yard TD run and a 28-17 lead. From there the game wilts away and we lost by 11 a game we led the ENTIRE way....very proud of my team but that one sure hurt.

As expected, FIU crushed us. We weren't doing much in any phase of the game. At least we weren't shut out... I'm just not very good at this game.

It would have been much closer if we hadn't scored those quick TDs before halftime. That allowed us to run the ball for most of the 2nd half and kill the clock.

And that tackle saving dive at the 1 by you was cheap
