I feel like I am missing something. How is anyone ok not spending all recruiting points with this system?

have these guys signed a full class already? I am intentionally not looking at anyone else's recruiting class because I dont want to get discouraged like I did early in the ladder dynasty.

I have late season bonus maxed out and I wish I still had 2500 more points every week.

I don't have a spectacular class or anything, but, I've signed enough people that I'm in decent enough shape no matter what happens. I have a good number of targets left that I lead on, even if I only get 1/3 of the guys still unsigned that I want up with a class that I'm perfectly happy with. My team sucks really bad (OVR 68) and it looks like I'm going to end up with 10-15 players rated in the 60s, more than enough for my team to improve very very quickly.

So all I could do with any extra points I have now is try to troll through the recruiting lists for better players who have been ignored, but this late in the season I've found it really really hard to get that to work (b/c a better team can come in and just dump thousands of points on a guy in offseason recruiting).

So, I looked through my recruiting list to make sure I was still first on most of the guys I've been on all year, and stopped there.

Gotcha...very different strategy from mine.

I've got some 60s seniors on my team, so even if I sign a 58 freshman he is an improvement even with min growth.

Ive probably got 34 or 35 scholarship offers out and working all of them.

I used the online site to dump some points into people, so hopefully it shows me as ready to advance now.

Regardless, South Alabama is officially ready to advance

So we are definitely hoping we have a strong recruiting finish. FIU is currently dead last in recruiting going into the offseason. We are #1 or #2 for our top 15 targets so there is reason for optimism, but it's still a little worrisome.

Hm have you played against people before vex? I didn't have this problem when I played Kodos a couple weeks ago.

On my side I'm just seeing the game cancelled a moment or two after accepting and having the initial screen load up.

Congrats, Radii. That was a crazy, crazy game. I thought we might get lucky but it just didn't happen. Kind of regretting that fake punt

FOURTH QUARTER
3:17 TD USA Vincent Robinson HB #29 5 yard TD (2-Pt)

3:04 TD FIU Derek Norwood CB #3 98 yard TD (A.J. Washington K #56 kick)

0:08 TD USA John Andrews WR #8 16 yard TD from Rudy Washington QB #2 (Aaron Robinson K #34 kick)

I think we were both having pretty noticeable lag on kickoffs? We both had a couple very short kicks. My kickoff coverage is awful(that wasn't lag related, it was just awful haha!

FIU got the ball first and had a huge kickoff return past midfield. They scored a pretty easy TD. I was able to drive a bit but could only manage a 38 yard FG, end of the 1st quarter, 7-3 FIU.

I think we each punted once in the 2nd quarter, then I was able to get a drive going that ended in a 1 yard TD run. I was able to get the ball back and was able to kick a 31 yard FG on the final play of the first half, South Alabama 13-7 lead.

I got the ball to start the 3rd, ran twice to set up 3rd and inches... and FIU came up with the stop on 3rd down. I punted. FIU put together a long drive where I couldn't stop a damn thing that ended in a 11 yard TD pass, FIU goes up 14-13.

I had to punt on my next possession. FIU gained a little yardage but had a 4th and short near midfield. They came out in punt formation, but snapped it short and tried to run for the first on a fake. I had called the right play for it, the PR Man Coverage play to watch for the fake, and stuffed the back for no gain, South Alabama took over in FIU territory.

I was able to put together a drive from there, mainly on the ground I think, got a 5 yard run for a score, and hit a 2 point conversion to go up 21-14 with 3:17 left.

My kickoff was fine on this one, but my kickoff coverage was terrible and FIU ran the kickoff back 98 yards for a TD, tie game with 3:04 left.

I got a good kickoff return out to about the 30, mostly ran the ball again, but called a couple passes (I audibled into one of them when it looked like you were blitzing a ton of people pre-snap). I was able to get inside the 20 in the final 30 seconds or so, but didn't trust myself to not shank a FG, on 3rd and 5 I threw a 16 yard TD pass to go up 28-21 with 8 seconds left in the game.

Squib kick b/c dear god I couldn't afford another FIU runback. Stopped a hail mary, game over.

South Alabama 28
Florida International 21

WHEW. Player of the game had to be my HB Vincent Robinson, 23 carries/109 yards/2 TDs.

I was worried that I was having to settle for FG's a bit much early on. I was also really really worried when I didn't convert my 3rd and inches to open the 2nd half. The fake punt was probably the biggest play of the game though in the end.

Arrow Bowl Season - Deadline is 4/23 (Wed) at 11 p.m. EST

Looks like even though we were bowl eligible, that wasn't good enough. FWIW, I agree. We sucked this year. Good luck to those who made bowls.

#2 UTEP (13-0) vs #4 Florida (10-3)
#23 South Alabama (11-2) vs. Miami (6-6)
#24 FIU (10-3) vs. UL Monroe (9-4)
Old Dominion (9-4) vs. Syracuse (7-5)
Washington State (8-4) vs. Virginia (8-4)

FWIW, I think our sliders are still too easy when UTEP is #2. Should we pump up the difficulty a bit for next season?

as long as you have a mobile QB and are willing to dedicate to running zone read 80% of the time you can crank it to heisman and we can all go undefeated.

I implemented a personal 5 option play rule about week 3 because I found myself running option/zone read on every 3rd down.

Thats not a swipe at UTEP, Im not even sure how much he runs options, just stating an observation.

I really, really, really dislike the current slider set, FWIW. But its a unique challenge to the other leagues Im in.
