Awful House is nasty.
IHOP pancakes are the best ever. That being said I avoid IHOP when they are busier then normal.

Two best things at ihop are the Ham and Egg Melt and the Monster Burger. But I do enjoy pancakes. Those two things are epic, though.

I am not a rich man but I've never been able to bring myself to wait around forever for a free pancake/taco/ect.

I had my pancake day last week
Shrove Tuesday 2010(Pancake Day) (complete with my daughter getting up at the crack of dawn to make them before school - she loves pancakes) Other interesting English 'days' ... Quote:

I've never understood Ihop's commercials. Everything looks like dessert and for breakfast, I'd rather have a slice of pizza rather than a pancake topped with apples, topped with syrup, topped with whip cream and powdered sugar all stuffed into the middle of 2 slices of 8 inch think french toast.

I dunno what IHOP is like where you people live, but it's absolutely fucking disgusting in Northern California. If you want your food served to you cold and raw (we're literally talking pink on the inside sausage and "over hard" eggs with runny whites) then IHOP is the place to go in NorCal. I don't know if they have them here on the islands, but if so I intend on staying clear. The last time I went (and this is when I vowed to never go again) I showed the manager my raw, salmonella infested food, and he offered to give me half of my money back, claiming "well you ate some". How the hell am I supposed to know my food is raw until I bite into it you $12/hr joke?

One of the better & more consistent options in their price point around here. It's not Waffle House by any means but the much wider menu makes them a flex option for a lot of families. edit to add: We do have one like you describe but it's basically the UGA students location in their part of town. Filthy conditions, brain dead service, food quality is all over the place ... and it stays fairly full because it's convenient to its target.

We have a Denny's nearby that is pretty decent. No IHOPs.

Totally different from the IHOPs I've been to. Are you sure you weren't at a Denny's? Last edited by rjolley : 02-23-2010 at 10:57 AM. |

Haha. What's weird is the Denny's in the same area are moderately respectable in their food quality and consistency. I've been known to down quite a few Lumberjack slams at 2:30am in my day

Agree with Sun....Denny's is better around here. Their hashbrowns are better.
EDIT: terrible grammar fail

Denny's Slam burger, which has an over easy egg and cheesy hasbrowns on it, is one of my favorites.
