I can vouch that the game was indeed "not fun". The first quarter was okay. After that, it was pretty much a beatdown. A superior player with a superior team showing just how superior they are. Alas, life as an Indiana fan is never easy.

Yikes. I wonder how far you'll fall in the rankings. With your schedule, I think a BCS bowl bid is out of reach. |

I'd say it depends. If by the grace of God I beat Ohio State and Indiana beats Purdue I think IU has a shot. Depends how far I'd move up and OSU and IU fall. |

We're not terribly worried about whether we get a BCS bowl or not. Nobody would have expected us to climb into the top ten at the beginning of the season. At least we beat Notre Dame.

My main hope for this season is to gain a star in the prestige category. Anything else would just be icing on the cake.

Yes. Tonight we were exhibit A. Their receivers got separation downfield unlike any we have ever gotten this year.

Good...sorry, Kodos...but I need you undefeated teams to lose, and fast
I'm hoping bigsmooth slips up somehow between now and the Apple Cup, because there's no chance U-Dub loses to Wazzu this year. If the undefeated teams stay that way, though, I have nobody to blame but myself for losing to an FSU team that scared me out of sticking with my gameplan. Should get really fun during these last few weeks...Just imagine human vs. human bowl matchups. Should be great.

Yeah, I'm actually still getting use to the guys the CPU had on the recruiting board. Some of them are studs, and some of them just don't make any sense. For example the CPU had like 7 Quarterbacks being recruited, but only 1 HB. I had about 90% of my big recruits visiting this week too, hoping that my team speed would be too much for you guys. With luck that game made a big impact as I was #2 or higher on pretty much all of their top schools list. I'm really looking forward to this bowl season. I'd love it if whatever bowl I play in is going to be against a Human opponent...but if not I look forward to reading up on the bowls that were.

Ha. Too late. The Apple Cup is next week and I'm still undefeated. You may just get your wish though, as we play a talented (fast) Cal team in the last game of the season. Good stuff. |

Does anyone know where I sit in the standings as of right now? I know my record is 8-3. Other than the loss to OSU, I have no clue who the CPU lost to before I took the team over. I imagine I should get into the top 20 after this win, and after I blow out Michigan State next week I'm hoping I can sneak my way into a top tier bowl.

You're number 22 right now.
I only update the standings every other week, but here's where you were before our game: Last edited by Kodos : 10-02-2008 at 10:45 AM. |

Only problem with the Big Ten is that the second and third place teams play the SEC in the pair of Florida bowls, and the fourth place team goes to the Alamo Bowl to play a Big 12 team. I do wonder if a RFL team will be able to claim an at-large BCS berth this year.

Hopefuly a 9-3 overall record with a 4-3 conference record (and possible top 15 ranking) will get me somewhere.

Here are the BCS Standings going into this week:
Rank Previous Rank School Points 1 1 Ohio State 1.000 2 2 Florida 0.992 3 3 Oklahoma 0.992 4 4 Missouri 0.983 5 5 Washington 0.978 6 7 Indiana 0.972 7 8 South Carolina 0.967 8 10 Texas Tech 0.954 9 13 Virginia Tech 0.945 10 11 Georgia 0.942 11 12 USC 0.933 12 14 West Virginia 0.932 13 6 Clemson 0.930 14 9 Arizona State 0.914 15 15 LSU 0.913 South Carolina and Florida play this week. Clemson will get a shot to play South Carolina. If Florida State wins the division, I think Kalifornia and Clemson have a good shot at a BCS at-large bid if they can win out due to not having to play in the ACC Championship Game. Florida still gets to play Florida State and the SEC Championship game (if they get that far). We get to play BCS spoilers against Georgia and USC in the next two weeks. Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas Tech will have to play out for the Big 12 championship. I know Oklahoma and Texas Tech still have to play each other. I think two Big 12 teams will go to the BCS Bowl. Auburn (I think they are 16th in the rankings) and Georgia also face off this week. If Michigan beats Ohio State, it'll get interesting. USC will be in, I think, if they can beat Stanford, Notre Dame, and a strong UCLA team. Last edited by Galaxy : 10-02-2008 at 12:44 PM. |

I can't see a win vs OSU, but assuming we do, there will more then likely (IU won't lose to Purdue I don't think) three 1 loss teams. I'll have 2 losses overall, so I think I'd be third, but I am not sure how the game handles this.
So we'd have Michigan: 10-2 (7-1) Ohio State: 11-1 (7-1) Indiana: 11-1 (7-1) Michigan would have the head to head over OSU Indiana is the luckiest team ever, playing neither So who really knows. It'll probably go to BCS ranking I guess. But I think it's all for naught, because Nej is a great player with the best team. Pretty ruthless combo. Last edited by DeToxRox : 10-02-2008 at 12:59 PM. |

Ha I was with Colorado, not much better But Michigan is awful this year so I'd expect to lose. My best QB is a 78 and my best OL is like an 85. Basically I have no offense vs good teams. |

I'm pretty sure that Sun would not just barely squeak past Toledo, even with Stanford. Just sayin'.
I would give Indiana a good chance of beating PSU if I'm playing against the AI. The AI doesn't exactly go deep much, so I could have concentrated more on stopping the run. Against Sun, I was pretty much screwed no matter what I tried to defend. Last edited by Kodos : 10-02-2008 at 01:31 PM. |

You can beat Bignej. He will turn the ball over, you just have to capitalize. I had some really strange "wtf" plays go against me when I played him. That combined with the fact that he was at home, I had about 5 minutes of practice with a brand new team, and I inherited some major injuries (including my starting HB) all resulted in my 1 TD loss.
Of course I'm bitter...dammit.

Ha, as I said, the Toledo game was me fucking around. I was trying reverses, WR options and some stupid passes. Basically all season I've been trying to find plays to bust out vs Ohio State. It has nearly cost me a few times but I think I found 2 or 3 I'll try. I'm like Michigan IRL, I have an offense that I have no good personnel for. It sucks. |
