NOFL Week 13 has started: Deadline is 10/14/08 at 10:00 PM

As the season winds down, we find out Kentucky is still #3 in the polls.

This week we have 1 human game: Galaxy's 2-8 Mississippi State team hosts WVUFan's 5-5 Arkansas team.

The biggest game against the CPU is Karlifornia's 5-5 Virginia squad hosting #7 Clemson (9-1.)

I have the next two days off (Friday and Saturday), as well as Tuesday and Friday of next week, so let me know when you want to play our game.

Kingsneb can't catch a break! I guess that's what happens when you schedule 11 games against FCS Southeast.

Who's ranked #1 and #2 now?

The Cardinal took care of the California Golden Bears in this years Big Game. The final score was 35-27. The Bears are suprisingly scrappy...and I'm thinking that rivalry games are especially tough. I see that we are slated to play in the Rose Bowl...w00t!!! Surprising considering that though all three teams in the Pac-10 have the same conference record, EF27's Washington team beat me (albiet against the CPU) early in the year. Regardless, I'm stoked to get the exposure in the major bowl. Hopefuly my relatively close score against Cal wont bump me down...I'm not really sure how that sort of thing works. Is it possible to drop in conference ranking even if you win out?

Clemson goes down! We win 24-17 behind a solid performance by our QB, Peter Lalich. After two of our running backs were hurt, 3rd stringer Keith Payne was responsible for grinding out late game yardage as we tried to protect an early lead.

Clemson was without either one of it's star running backs, but I'll take it. We're We're now 6-5 (3-4) and bowl eligible!

We finish out with a 34-18 win over Arizona. Big difference was getting Canfield back, the backup Moaveo is horrible

I was very surprised at how good Cal was last week. At only 79 overall (vs 77 for OSU) I thought it would be a pretty easy win, but they absolutely waxed me. I couldn't stop Montgomery or Jahvid Best to save my life (Best had two screen pass/runs for over 70 yards) - 2 very good backs.

Agreed. They surprised the hell out of me. I was actually down 14-12 at halftime, as they stopped me inside the 5 several times and I had to settle for a field goal.

Well, good and bad news on the recruiting front. BC landed the #1 RB in the nation (and the #4 in the Top 100), but a bunch of other guys who were high on our board committed elsewhere.

I also had a really difficult rivalry game today as 1-9 Washington State almost upset us, but we held on to win 23-17 as we stopped their pass into the endzone as time expired.

Hey guys. I know I have a bye week but I still need to recruit. I will have it done by 10 PM tomorrow. I'm going through some severe personal stuff right now, so that's why I'm not on top of it. I will make sure I meet all the deadlines going forward.

I miss the days when the NOFL was near the top of my thoughts. Hopefully those days will return sometime soon

Boston College took their frustrations out on Wake Forest 38-21 (or something like that). We don't suck completely!

I may need a couple of extra hours tonight to get my game in. I plan to get it in tonight though.

EF27, if we aren't able to get our game in by 7 or so, you can auto-pilot our team and WVU can play us.

Ok, just let me know if you actually want me to do so..

Also, BigDPW, any estimate on when you'll get your game in? I'm not opposed to giving an extra hour or two, if circumstances arise that demand it.

I set you to autopilot right after your last post, but I never heard from WVUFan about playing tonight and/or needing an hour or two extension, so I went ahead and advanced the week just a few minutes past the deadline.

I think we just missed each other. I was on around 1 and Galaxy wasn't, and he was on after 2 and I was out until just now.

Sorry. This wound up being much more of a hectic day for me that I thought.

I lost to UNC... Much closer game than the score showed (24-0)... I kept it within 14 most of the game and got in the redzone about 4 times and turned it over each time. My QB had 5 picks... Man it really blows not having a solid starting QB or difference making backup.

I need to beat Miami at home to close out the season to become bowl eligible. They are 6-4...

Sounds a lot like my BC game against Maryland last night.
