The 66%-34% numbers are the general public's support of the bill:

Two-thirds of the country supported the prior version of the wolf security bill and I aim to keep my constituents happy. Therefore, I will reach across the aisle, in this rare moment, join hands with my fellow Democrat and Republican brothers and shout from on high, that

I support the national wolf security bill-redux

Every post I've ever quoted I've meant to quote. I've never used 'multi-quote' or anything.

And what we do behind closed doors with our support and slurry powers shall stay behind closed doors

That's fine, I was just curious. Obviously we didn't throw support behind it, so either you did or the wolves did. I can see the wolves doing that, since they attached a rider to it, but if you guys don't care, whatevs.

Pass,

Why do you think we spent a support point on our bill? Both bills had the same support percentages? Did you support yours?

Propose ovreturning veto of Wolf Security Bill

If we overturn this we can get three new roles today, in light of the recent rule change which means we can't just bleed the wolves dry as I hoped yesterday.

It's obvious we can't do our initial plan anyway so why not bite the bullet on this one so we ca get three good bills out there today. It the new veto rule was in existance yesterday I would not have pressed for the veto as I did. Now since it's obvious we cant get around them having the cunning (they'll attach it to the same bill again today) we might as well over-ride the veto to get the BG and givethem the cunning. Today if we present 3 very good bills they have to chose one to rider and we can then decide if we want to use a veto or not at that point.

It seems that cunning is inevitable so we might as well go for the trade off of BG for cunning now.

Of course the Supreme Court creating legislation is a serious infringement upon the consitution.

No problem. I'm not worried about which bill has a higher percentage or anything in terms of party lines, but I do wonder if the wolf rider lowered support for that bill, while whatever effort was put in to support the bill evened it out.

I still don't get why you don't seem concerned with all the wolf influence you have going on with your bill.

It is very logical that the wolves supported our bill to make the democrats look worse if and when it got vetoed. Therefore, I think it is more likely a republican wolf did the support action and not a democratic wolf.

That is logical -- but it is also logical that the Dems supported their own bill, since they all planned to vote for it. Also, I don't think the wolves are concerned with the whole Dem/Rep struggle. Plus, I'd imagine that the wolves are working together as one team, rather than a Dem Wolf team and a Rep Wolf team.

This is very likely going to fail, so watch your popularity hits. Tyrith and Heinz have already gone against it and can't change their votes. Cronin, myself, and our more conservative members aren't going to jump on it meaning you'll get close but no cigar.

More importantly though, IF we pass the override, we give the wolves 2 powers today just so we can pass one more bill, bad idea. I would rather pass three bills today (plus yesterday's one) to one wolf power (4:1) vs. passing an extra bill today and giving the wolves another power (5:2). I think trying to do so does look a bit wolfy although I'm not ready to string anyone up over thinking outside the box.

I think we need to keep politics out of our search for wolves. If you have any reason at all to suspect me of being a wolf, let me hear it. But just because I am on the other end of the political spectrum as you is a poor reason to vote to lynch me.

I think he was agreeing with EF's vote to overturn the veto. If the bill has 66% support, that means that the 66% most liberal of us could vote to overturn it, and it doesn't seem like we would suffer political consequences. However, some of that 66% support is from artificial means. Which, if henry's implication is true, you guys weren't responsible for. Either way, if that support goes away (I don't know if it works like that, but I guess it could), that might change things.

Anyway, after all that, I think we just really want to avoid giving them a cunning wolf.

A witness, to be chosen at random among non-Wolf, non-seer, non-BG players, who, once per night, can PM the moderator with a person they will follow for that night.
