What is your favorite NFL announcing team?

I like the classic Al Michaels/Cris Collinsworth team. Wasn't a big fan of Collinsworth when he was a player, but I think he does a great job in the booth.

Still don't understand how Troy Aikman and Phil Simms are #1 analysts. They are horrible.

Not quite this, but yeah. I watch too much football, but I'm usually on my phone/computer/doing other things in front of the TV, so the sound is low and the announcers are nothing more than background noise. I can name 6 of them. Let's see: Simms, Aikmen, Buck, Collinsworth, Gruden, Michaels.....(and honestly, I probably would not have gotten Collinsworth if not mentioned in the OP).

Exception is Giants games, so I know Buck and Aikmen. They don't really add anything to the broadcast, and they are not important enough to build up any animosity about.

I don't know the Eagle/Fouts tandem, but agreed on the rest. Aikman was solid to good at first, then something went horribly wrong and he became almost as unbearable as Madden.

Aikman had some awesome digs in at Bayless recently. I'm pretty much a Michaels/Collinsworth or bust type of guy. Can't stand Simms or Buck. Sucks that Michaels is like 71 and maybe he has 2-3 SuperBowls left in him due to the rotation. I think just giving him the next 5-7 regardless of network would be a good move.

I'd go with Michaels/Collinsworth as well. Collinsworth does a lot better analysis than any of the others. Eagle/Fouts do a good job. I can't stand Phil Simms. Aikman's ok but I can't stand Buck. Gruden would be good if he wasn't so hyperbolic all the time.

Gruden would be good if he was more honest. When Chucky has nothing but positive things to say about all players, you know you're not getting his real opinions.

I liked Chris Spielman's debut last weekend. His voice/delivery isn't anything remarkable, but he's good at providing technical info and isn't constantly trying to invent human interest spins like some of the other color commentators.

Any team that doesn't contain Joe Buck.

I will say that Tirico is a dude who I've come to appreciate more in his absence...whoever they replaced him with is below-par.

This x10. Im actually pissed off they moved him off college football. Spielman is absolutely great without all the BS fluff.

I second this. I've always like Tirico. He used to do weekly radio interviews in Detroit because he lives in Ann Arbor and he seemed like a good guy. The new dude is very dull and boring sounding.

I like Al Michaels and Collinsworth.

Brady Quinn did color for a Lions game a year or two ago. I was pretty impressed by him. I thought he had some good insights.

Kevin Harlan commentates NBA as well along with the NBA 2K series.
