Trademarks
I'm launching a business soon, and one of the things I need to right now is to trademark the company name.
Has anyone done it before? Do you *need* a lawyer to do it? I know the class (International class 035) for the company name. Secondly, I'll likely file protection for the logo down the line once one is selected, along with a possible name for a product feature. Last edited by Galaxy : 02-21-2012 at 08:32 PM. |

I don't know anything about the process, but if you feel like saving money you could just put the small TM on your name, then in the very fine print have it say that means "Trout, moron."

Looks pretty straightforward I'd say.
Trademarks Home As quick look seems to indicate that if you're pretty unique, you might not need a lawyer. Last edited by stevew : 02-22-2012 at 08:15 AM. |

I could use the trout as the logo. I guess the one other question would be transferring the rights of the trademark down the line, if needed. |
