Wow, that was a white knuckle battle against A&M.

They go up 14-0 in the first minute of the game, behind a 80+ yard pass on their 3rd play from scrimmage, then returning a fumble for a TD on my first play from scrimmage. My defense must have overslept, because they were up 44-24 a couple of minutes before halftime. I was able to sneak in a TD right before halftime.

The defense showed up in the second half, but it was a bend-don't break instead of a shutdown defense. I was able to claw back and take the lead with about a minute and a half left. A&M got the ball and quickly drove into my territory. I figured they would get the late TD for the win. But the defense was able to force their first turnover of the game (after their defense had scored two TDs) and run the clock out. We survived 51-47.

Not sure what has happened to my pass rush. After dominating most of the season, they've gone missing the past two games.

I might be able to lay after the OSU game but not 100% sure yet. I will try and figure out soon if I'll be able to.

Bigsmooth, I'm not sure if I can play tonight or not - I may be available after USC plays. I can play tomorrow anytime except when the Eagles are playing. Monday, I can play after 6 PM. Tuesday and Weds evening are good for me too.

Edit to add: I can also play now or within the next hour if you want.

No problem. Should be available after 9p, prefer not to start later than 10:30 (est) if possible.

Sounds like we should be able to work something out, since I'm unemployed.

That's too early for me, as it runs in with the kids bedtime. Plus, it goes against MNF. What about Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST?

USC with a big first half against Washington including 4 turnovers to jump to a big lead. We win the game 37-0 as Bigsmooth suffered some unlucky breaks today that put his team in a big hole.

That was embarrassing. I don't know if our connection was wonky but I just didn't have any responsiveness with my players movement. That might just be due to your speed on D, too? Anyway, we were clearly outplayed, well done. I think traditionally we have better games then this. Dang.

Yeah, I was really shocked with how the game went. In the past, you played me much tougher. I think the ratings matter more this year than any time in the past and our lines really won the battle in the game.

The Spartans win the Big Ten and likely secure a spot in the National Championship game with a 34-14 win over Penn State. Good game cmp.

Wow. Was expecting that game to be more competitive.

We were able to give OSU a game, but 3 turnovers were our downfall. GG, Foz. I uploaded highlights like you asked, but the EA servers lost us. You can find them on my profile, as I was able to upload them after shutting down and logging back in.

I couldn't get my running attack going, other then the first drive with one long run. Having my 3rd stringer in finally caught up to me. I had to go out of my comfort zone once I was down and you were able to get a pretty decent pass rush. I knew not scoring after getting the pick in the first that things might be tough the rest of the way. Good game. You had a very strong balanced attack that we had a very tough time stopping. Can't wait til next year's matchup.

It appears that kcchief has gone MIA. He's missed two deadlines in a row, and has not responded to PMs by me or opponents. Missouri has been set to autopilot for the moment. Moving on to Week 14 now.

Has anyone who did their recruiting recently seen how many teams still need to recruit? (Just trying to save myself from needing to log on to check.)

Arrow Conference Championship Week - Deadline is Sunday (10/31) at 11 pm EST

Congrats to Michigan State, our 2010 Big Ten champs! Now, #4 Texas and #2 USC will meet with the Big 12 championship on the line! (Obviously, the deadline is a token deadline -- we'll wait until you can play.)

No recruiting this week.

Be interesting to see if Texas gets in the NC if they beat USC.

gg EF. I wasn't able to stop you at all until it was too late. I still don't know how I didn't get a sack on that long TD throw you got.

Texas had a fumble on their first drive which ended up being a key turnover as we had a hard time stopping the Texas offense. They held us to a FG on our first drive and then marched down the field with a controlled passing attack. Our first possession of the 2nd quarter, they held us to a FG again. However, early in the 2nd, our defense got us the ball back quickly and then Barkley found Rojo for a long PA TD pass to make it 12-7 (after we failed to convert the 2 point conversion.) Our defense held Texas to a FG midway through the 2nd to make it 12-10. Then, we put together a long ball control offense featuring Dillon Baxter who ran it in from 5 yards out to make it 19-10 before the half.

We got the ball to start the 2nd half and Allen Bradford broke off a 31 yard TD to make it 26-10 early in the 3rd. Our defense stepped it up and neither team scored the rest of the 3rd quarter. However, Cartman put a huge scare into us in the 4th, pulling within 5 points with some great passes. However, Texas could not get the onside kick and we were able to get a 1st down and run out the clock. USC wins 29-24.

Great game, Cartman!

#4 and I didn't get an at-large BCS berth? Sigh.

Lame, there was a great opportunity for at least one player vs player matchup and we all got nothing but CPU. Other than the champ game.
