I'm definetely in the same boat as you. I get a tiny burst of excitement in my special area everytime I see there's a new post, only to be let down when I see it's something random in the RFL thread about monkeys or something.

If you're on a dating site and asked this girl that looked to have values but also spunky to be friends three days ago and you haven't heard anything from hear and then tonight she IM's you hi. Then before you can say hi she says do you want to get laid. That is when I open the IM and notice that she is idle and say hello. You wait five minutes before you close the IM. Did her account get hacked or what happened? Damn I wish I wasn't away from the computer and I pulled up the IM when she started. Only two minutes passed. I think if it was her she just wanted to see my reponse or are most girls sluts.

Oh also Kodos, that other girl I talked about in another thread where I sent her a butt load of messages asking her for responses but never got any and then sent her emails daily explaining she asked for something funny and I thought a disasterous attempt was very funny. And apologized for not thinking about her feelings. I sent her like 21 messages and only got 3 from her. One each night. I sent her 5 emails that actually made sense and then about 8 that were really weird and basically told her everything about myself and went into too much detail, another 5 apologizing and asking for a response. Then 2 more saying I am basically moving on and take care. And the final email stating I can't believe you're going to let a guy so nice, open, and amusing get away. I know you like me because you read my emails and that I like you or I wouldn't have spent the minute and a half to write them so lets just put this behind us and start over and be friends. I then IM her tonight and she responded, do you think she is crazy for answering me or one of those few that put up with shit. I even mentioned in an email I'm weird and like to know someone will be there even if it is very likely I will never need them, one of my apology emails.

It is very awkward talking to her now that she knows all about me. I asked at the end of the IM conversion if she mind if I IM her in the future and she said I don't see why not but I'm not on here for very long with the school work I have.

Ok here is the breakdown of the number of emails I sent her a day.
