So not only did I get another DDE, but I have some RROD flashing my way.
Thankfully I have a full replacement plan at Best Buy so I'll be good to go tonight as I am heading there now. If it isn't one thing, it's another. |

Riding the wave of our first Top 25 ranking in well over a decade, the Hoosiers traveled to rainy and cold Champaign, Illinois to face the hated Ill-vile-ni. Sophmore QB Ben Chappell, who had not played terribly well in spot duty to date, was asked to fill the void left by injured starter Kellen Lewis. Big shoes to fill indeed around Bloomington and the rest of southern Indiana.
The first quarter saw each offense feeling out the opponent's defense without much success. Chappell moved the offense some, and avoided any mistakes as he got a feel for the game. Neither team had scored after 15, thanks in part to a missed field goal by junior Illini kicker Joe Mathis . A minute and a half into the second quarter, Chappell drew first blood with a 10 yard TD pass to junior WR Andrew Means on third and goal to put us on top 7-0. Late in the second quarter, the Illwhini began a drive looking to move into Hoosier territory and get a score. Not so fast, my friend! Sophomore MLB Tyler Replogle nailed scrambling junior QB Marques Guidry, and second year cornerback Richard Council recovered it at the Illini 40. Less than a minute later, junior RB Bryan Payton took it in from 3 yards out to put us on top 14-0 heading into the break. In the third quarter, young QB Chappell looked to once again move us down the field. Looking to hit Payton out in the flat less than a minute into the third, Chappell made his first major mistake of the game, and paid for it with an Illini interception TD by junior strong safety Andrew Bell. Suddenly, it was a one-score game again. We caught a break when their kicker missed the extra point, as we stayed on top 14-6. Chappell came back onto the field following his miscue, and started matriculating the ball down field once again. With four minutes left in the third, Chappell hit junior WR Ray Fisher for a 32-yard touchdown that made it 21-6. Chappell and Fisher would connect again later in the quarter for a second touchdown, and we hung on to grab a 28-18 victory. Kicker Joe Mathis had what was arguably the worst day of anyone on the Illwhini, as he missed on his lone field goal attempt, as well as all three of his extra point attempts in the game. I hope you stick around for your senior year, Joe! Chappell played quite well in his first start, hitting on 21 of 32 for 216 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 interception. The running game was largely ineffective for us, as Bryan Payton lead the way with 16 carries for 56 yars and 1 TD. Ray Fisher made the most of his two catches, adding 61 yards and 2 TDs to his season total. Junior FS Nick Polk had 4 tackles and 1 interception on the day, while MLB Tyler Replogle lead the way with 9 tackles. DT Greg Brown notched our only sack of the day. Okay, I took my game with me to Family Video where my friend works, and he put it in their game cleaner dealy. They use it for all their games and DVDs and he claims it works well. I'll fire this up later tonight or tomorrow and hope everything is cured. I did notice a few small nix on the game that are gone now.

Hey guys, I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out. We are trying to get the company I work for sold, and I'm going to be on the road pretty much non-stop for the next few months. I'll be dropping out of the NOFL as well.

Oh this if bullshit...just pulled out a freaking miracle against the Beavers, escaping with a 39-36 win. Of course the fucking EA servers are not available at this time!!! I refuse to "abandon the game result". I'm jsut gonna keep trying to reconnect I guess...

And now it just froze up...guess I'll have to play again. Dang. At least I was able to save the "game winner". This play came with :24 seconds left in the 4th, on 4TH AND 5! We were down 33-34 and just hoping to get into field goal range.
Awesome. I went for 2 and they picked it and took it to the house for a safety, bringing the final score to 39-36. Stupid EA. |

I kinda think that if you win a game and the servers are down, you should get to replay it until you win again. Kinda.

Came out in that one sluggish, it was pouring rain in Texas and we couldn't get anything going in the first half. TCU jumped on us early 14 - 0, a 28 -7 run in the second including a fumble recovery for a score with 9 seconds left helped us on this.
I played sloppy mainly due to the kids bugging me and fighting right in front of me for most of the game. But we managed to win 51-42

Welcome Macro.
I'll post the Top 25 rankings tonight. However, I don't think I'll be able to do it for the next two weeks (RFL weeks, that is) as I'll be gone. |

Took three fucking attempts but I think my DDE is fixed for now. Getting it cleaned seems to have worked as there was no issues where the game partially froze or anything.
Anyway, we win 45-35 in a nailbiter. After PSU scored with 1:30 left to go up 4, Morgan Trent returned the ensuing kickoff for a TD. Then PSU got the ball back and Stevie Brown picks off Reid's throw and takes it home for the clinching pick six. Huge win for us |

We fell 31-21 to West Virginia. We should have won, but we threw several picks (I need to get a HDTV to see the whole field); three in the red-zone and two I think were ran back. The speed of the WV QB and HB are tough. Plus, throw in some other stuff going in, it was a poor day.

For me, it's the snap count or rather length of time. I always look at the the secondary then LB's Secondary are generally playing man up when they are giving a 3-4 yard cushion, they will inch away from the WR toward the QB if they are going to blitz. If the FS or SS are going to blitz they are up on the line fast. LB's I let them inch them selves into the LOS if they are going to blitz. If the S or CB are going to blitz, I set the hot route to hit the open area fast, our audible into a play that will tie up the backers blitzing.

Never used it....I just use what I know from football. It's been pretty amazing with 09 that they are good at disguising things and such. I think you see more if your QB has a high awareness rating, but i have yet to prove this theory.
