Which villagers come across as the most "wolfish" to you?
It seems every game, regardless if I am playing or just watching from the outsides a few people always come across as a wolf to me. Something about their play style just ends up screaming "wolf" to me, where I can't possibly figure out why they played things a certain way if they were a villager.
For me, Barkeep used to always be that way, every game his day 1 arguements had me always wanting to vote for him, to the point I actually made a policy to never vote Barkeep day 1 unless there was some proof to do so or otherwise reason. I also have a very very hard time getting a read on St.Cronin.. it just feels every game he comes at things from a complete opposite viewpoint as I do, and I just always have a nagging feeling he is a wolf. Surely I am not alone here, who do you have problems reading when you are a villager? Who are the villagers that always feel "wolfish" to you in games? |

Well, the obvious answer is Lathum for me. I'd agree on Cronin though. I think he just looks at things differently than I do.

Barkeep for sure, also Tyrith. I tend to get weirded out by the quieter folks, too - Raiders Army, Chief Rum, SnDvls, sometimes KWhit or saldana.

Lathum, Lathum, Lathum. And hoops a lot of the time on day 2, for whatever reason.

I used to be suspicious of Lathum a lot, but I've gotten over that.

Cronin and SnDvls for me. They are my hardest reads.
"Wolfish" vibe, to me, suggests that I don't have a good read on them. There are players who may post in a way that suggests one thing, but having a history with them leads me to another conclusion. |

That's what I'm figuring out about you and slightly more slowly about lathum. I'd agree with SnDvls especially being a pretty hard read. |

I'm not surprised I'm on this list for some people. I would love if they could say what it is that makes me wolfie, as I've changed my game in the past and it appears that I need to do so again, though I'm not sure how.
And to answer the question: Lathum. He always seems to be manipulating the discussion, rather than just participating in it. |

I think your answer about Lathum is the same answer I would give about you. The reason I have difficult times with you is that I feel often you throw out arguements that are 180 degrees opposite of my own view on things, especially on day 1. Most recent example I can give is the most recent small game I ran. Throwing Lathum out there as a possibly lynch candidate just because he is Germany seemed more like a good way to possibly get your own self lynched moreso than Lathum. For me I understand day 1 votes are random, so the way you frame your day 1 vote randomness at times just sits wrong with me I guess. I by no means want to discourage anyone from contributing, as I feel there are too many people who play UtR for my tastes anyways.. which is why I purposely started trying to avoid day 1 votes for you as I often found myself in situations where the person I had the worst gut feel about on day 1 was you for whatever theory or thought that was tossed out for that game. |

Barkeep - it often seems to me that your analysis seems disingenuous, that you don't actually believe the things you profess to believe.

I come off completely wolfish to me. If I were playing against me, I would vote me Day One every time. Better to kill a villager than to chance that I am a wolf.

I'm a hard read for 2 reasons. 1) I really play close to the vest in all the WW games I'm in...and that leads me to be a "quiet" player too. 2) there are many times I just don't have anything to add to the conversation and I don't want to add unneeded posts to the player that already has 10 pages of reading to catch up.
I have tried in some games to be more "active in posting" but it usually gets me lynched or night killed pretty quick. |
