I turned 36 a week ago. The stationary bike, when you set up a program, has the default age of 35. Now, when I do my manual program, I have to go up on the age. I will do that for the rest of my life.

While being 36 doesn't bother me, that did.

38, which doesn't really bother me too much. That may change at 40.

It's weird, everyone thinks 40 is a big deal, and it is a little strange to say you're 40, but other than having weirder sleep patterns and having to pee slightly more often, I don't feel much different from 35 or even 30.

I'm with you. I don't feel much different other than feeling weird to say that I'm 40. And realizing that I am well into middle age at this point.

I hear you. I'm 42.

I have less hair than I did back in the day, but that's been progressing since before I was 30. All of my hangovers tend to be two day hangovers. I get a few more aches and pains, but other than that I feel no real difference. In fact, I am probably in the best shape of my life.

For me, what sucks the most is that the minor little pains last *freaking forever.*

It used to be I'd tweak my knee or shoulder and only be sore for a few days. Now, I'll jam my thumb and think "welp, thats 6 months of nagging pain."

I've given up all sports that result in freak injuries...having a limp or a broken finger was okay 10 years ago at 34...but at 44...I'd rather avoid those nuanced injuries...plus...I'd make a fool of myself ... So there's that.

I used to take naps after work at around 6PM. I can't do that anymore, or else my night is over.

And I used to never get hangovers - now it doesn't take much, so I really take it easy on the booze.

Other than that, I feel the same at 37 as I ever have.

42, but like others, especially sabotai, feel younger. Unfortunately don't look 24 any more, so am beginning to find myself in a definite middle age: too old to mix with the youngsters, way too young to mix with the oldies!

The only time I really notice my age is when I have to kneel. Otherwise, I'm in better shape than I was in my 30s. I'm working to keep getting fitter as I get older to cancel out the aging.

This is how I feel old.

The doctor said to me yesterday, that if the 2nd cortisone shot doesn't significantly improve things, it's time to start looking into getting hip replacement surgery.

I had somehow convinced myself for at least half a year that I was turning 45 last October, then when I figured out that I was actually turning 44 I felt pretty spry. The end.
