I'm lazy enough that I resent having to use even one hand to brush my teeth.

Just got some new Xiaomi Pistol headphones. For $15, these are the clearest, punchiest headphones I've ever owned. I was listening to music at the pool and it scared the shit out of me when a bass guitar cut in. I honestly thought an insect buzzed in my ear.

Speaking of shitting oneself, I sharted for the first time in my adult life this morning. Had some bad food at lunch yesterday and was on the toilet most of the afternoon/evening. Felt fine this AM. Decided to do some cardio since I missed yesterday. While doing some plank exercises, I needed to let one rip. Turns out it wasn't just gas. Thankfully I didn't have a lot left in my bowels, so I feel only about 60% ashamed of myself.

Hmm. I guess there was an injunction or something.

Someone needs to explain the thing where 2 teams were named Rough Riders tho.

I just realized in the car today that the Bieber/Ed Sheeran song "Love Yourself" actually could be called "Eff Yourself." I'm a bit slow.

Yeah when I first heard it I assumed it was a radio edit and the actual version did use the F word, but apparently Bieber is not at that stage of his career yet.

So, about 4 weeks ago I busted out Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and have been playing with my best friend and his family and our family..I am DMing, and I am running a group of 8. Ages from 10 to 41, it's been awesome to see the young ones enjoying themselves and opening up to a world that they never knew existed.

Countdown to Harambe being named both Time's Man of the Year & sweeping all the major awards at the ESPY's is now underway.

In my whole f'n life I don't think I've ever been sicker of hearing about a damned slow news cycle story.

edit: I'd rather read a detailed profile of Tawana Brawley at this point.

I like the concept of this 500 questions show, but there's something lacking about it. If it is gonna be a one week a year limited event, it feels like the stakes should be higher. But what do I know.

So I look up and an old Tonight Show from the 80's is on TV. I see the guest and I can't for the life of me place him, though I know he looks familiar. He's wearing what can only be described as a zoobaz suit, white dress shirt and a bolo tie? One of those shoe string ties, whatever it's called. He's a big dude, not fat, but stout, and it's driving me crazy cause I'm starting to think he may be an athlete or something. And after about 2 minutes of staring at him I realize it's a young Danny Aiello, and I feel so old.

Preparing a house to go on the market has to be one of the biggest economic wastes out there. My neighbor put in new carpets, painted the walls, and did a ton of landscaping. The new owner immediately pulled out the carpet to add hardwood floors, dug up the bushes, and repainted all but one room.

And don't get me started on staging with rented furniture.

I get fixing real problems and curb appeal and all that, but still.

For like the 3rd time in 5 years I put an air conditioner in wrong. I really don't know what the eff is wrong with my brain, but it always looks right, in front of the lip, even though the back of my mind says "no dummy, it goes behind the lip". If it was my house I'd be fretting over the water damage that must have been done at this point.

Inspired by Abes Chicago thread, I wanted to ask a question about LP's. By the time I starting buying music, tapes were pretty much overtaking LP's. I think the 4 records that I actually bought were Thriller, Purple Rain, Chicago 17 and Make It Big, the latter of which skipped horribly and I had to exchange, only to find that the replacements also skipped, pretty much in the same spots.

My question is, what was the decorum for bad LP's back in the day? Return, exchange, just bite the bullet? How often did you get a bad LP that was just unlistenable? And furthermore, how often was it that you got a bad LP? I'm guessing that since my experience is at the tale end of the industry that not much effort was going into the pressings so maybe they just didn't care all that much?

Went and dropped off my mail in ballot yesterday (yes lazy, but, they wanted me to pay postage and I haven't bought stamps in at least 3 years. I do practically everything on line or in person so I just have no need for stamps usually) and even though it was a little bit after 1 in the afternoon, it was a ghost town at the polling station. I don't know why, but, I expected more people.

Well that was fun.

Not every day I get to see it hail SIDEWAYS (thank goodness). On the bright side it was just pea - to - dime sized hail, and the one tree I see that went down looks like it only took out some hedges (missed the house by at least six yards).

Sunday: 3 hour power outtage
Monday: 12 hour internet outtage
Today: Hail, wind, torrential rain, downed tree

I figure tomorrow will involve locusts.

We got through the first two. Not bad.

Though I also think my family is about the only one on the planet who didn't mind Voltron Force. My 5 year old loves it, and me and my wife both enjoyed it. (hence the reason we watched the new one as well).

It comes with the territory, but going 6/7 on a parlay with a 10,000% return is like being bashed in the nuts with the bones of your dead dog while all your ex girlfriends have sex with someone else in front of you.

Also, I'm a casual viewer of Big Brother UK so I found it sort of amusing, but I imagine anyone with any investment would be majorly irritated when, only 3 weeks in, they get rid of 5 housemates in a single week and bring in 4 new ones. That just screams gimmick desperation.

I'm 2.5 hours from receiving the call that should tell me if I got a new job at a Fortune 500 company (an exec position) that could be life changing. It could also take me back to the west coast.

Needless to say... I'm a mess right now.

Now they've postponed the call for later today so I now have 3.5 hours until I know. Ack. I would think if they didn't want me that would have been as simple as the recruiter I've worked through just telling me. This upcoming call is with the guy who would be my boss.
