Its cool, we all got cupcaked for the most part, so I don't see it as a disadvantage. At least the season is almost here.

I can't wait to play my game. Hope for a huge blow out that lets me get our freshman phenom his first carries. Work is crazy for next few days though and I probably can't play until Monday unless my wife falls asleep early one night.

Dola -

Super excited to play my game... so I'm going to play a half now while my wife is getting our girl ready for bed... and the 2nd half after my wife falls asleep. If this plan backfires and the Xbox resets, I'm trusting everyone knows it is a genuine accident as we should be able to demolish this creampuff...

Super frosh Jimmy Stewart gets his first touch on the opening kickoff... and takes it 100 yards for a TD!

Alabama was frustrating us early, stopping two 1st quarter drives by forcing fumbles. After that it was we who frustrated them.

They managed less than 150 yards of offense while we piled up over 500 in a 49-7 win at their place. Slightly upsetting because we could have easily put up 60 in this one and probably could have easily shut them out.

Senior TE Bryan Davis was our player of the game, with 8 catches for 171 yards. I'm gonna have a hard time saying goodbye to all the seniors on this team.

Excited to play my game but its going to end poorly. We lose all our O talent and FLorida is a 99 rated OVR Defense and a 97 Overall team.

Here we go.

I'm very embarrassed that our CB fell in the rain and gave up a long TD pass to the best WR on FCS NW. But, the rest of the game we absolutely dominated them. It was very ugly as we won 112-7 with our 3rd and 4th stringers getting in on the scoring...

Jimmy Stewart did not disappoint. After his first touch resulted in a kickoff TD... his 2nd touch was a punt return for a TD. He followed that up with an interception. He had a 3rd TD on a punt return later in the game. He also had 3 carries for 26 yards late including a very nice 19 yard run that he was a shoe string tackle from taking 70 for a TD. He also caught 2 short passes for 11 yards. The kid is exciting. However, he got banged up late in the game... hopefully nothing too serious. I'm holding my breath..

Other stats in this laugher:

QB Lawrence Gilmore was 11 of 15 for 218 yards and 3 TD's. He also ran it 13 times for 111 yards and 2 more TD's.

HB Greg Alexander had 23 carries for 173 yards and 3 TD's.

Backup HB Justin Wilkinson had 17 carries for 110 yards and 4 TD's.

WR/3rd string QB Brandon Rust had 1 carry for 23 yards and a TD late in the game.

Sophomore DE Jake Smith had 4 sacks.

Now, I hold my breath as we find out how bad Jimmy Stewart's injury is....

Whew... just a bruised leg. He'll be back next game

If he didn't get hurt, he would have had a lot more carries in the 4th quarter. Instead, Wilkinson got a bunch extra

What a game
We survive a 28-24 wild one. Our QB was hurt in the first quarter and is now questionable with hip bursitis.

I just about out smarted myself by going for it on 4th and 3 with 40 seconds to go up 4 and failed. But my D came up big.

We will need a big year by our D to have any success this season.

We are now 1-0 in ACC play.

Yeah, mine could have been worse. I was still running my offense, but with the backups. I had two guys with 4 sacks each, my QB threw and ran for 4 TDs, despite missing most of the first half with injuries and getting pulled after the third quarter ended. My stud senior tight end had a good game. And I was happy to pitch a shutout.

I'm going to try to keep my stud RB's carries low in the hope that he will come back for his senior season. He will only be used to his full potential against worthy opponents.

I wasn't trying to run it up either... I promise I was just mad like Tom Brady after such a bad first half in that game.. I NEEDED that TD in order to feel right.

56-21 over Georgia. They actually did some stuff on us with their offense and had 357 yards against us, but the only thing that stopped our offense from scoring was one fumble at the goal line and time expiring twice. Out of 8 incomplete passes, 6 were drops.

That was a crazy play.. My RB is crossing the goalline, and a defender was closing in on him.. I decide to dive. The ball comes out. Touchback. -64 yard run I guess. They were quite happy with themselves about it.

I was super freakin' pissed.. Should have just plowed through the guy to score - Thought the game might be full of shenanigans, and it kind of was with all the drops. Surprisingly none of the drops ended a drive.

Me either.. I think that was the length of that drive. Just a weird glitch, it didn;t factor into the statistical totals.

We had a few fumbles and our defense gave up some surprising chunks of yardage, but we beat North Texas 70-10.

Stewart got a TD pass early which was a simple screen pass in which he juked two guys and then turned on the jets for a 12 yard TD. Maybe I should have made him a HB...

Then again, on his 3rd carry in the 4th quarter, he suffered a concussion and had to leave the game. He finished with 1 receiving TD, 1 rushing TD, 3 tackles and a pass defensed.

Sophomore DE Jake Smith terrorized their OL and finished the game with 5 sacks.

QB Lawrence Gilmore passed for 347 yards, 4 TD's, 63% completion and 0 INT's. He also ran for 41 yards and a TD. He also misfired quite a bit in the first half and was lucky his wild passes weren't picked off.

I have to say that my interest in the game is going way up again thanks to this league. I've found some really challenging but fun single player sliders and I'm playing much more single player than I have in the past year.
