Yep, Lost twins before having my daughter, then lost 3 more after that. Decided we were done trying.

All of them were in the 10-12 week range.

We've lost 5 as well and each was hard, but the last 3 were brutal, and we stopped because of that too. I can completely empathize with what they went through. It sounded like a living nightmare, and one I wouldn't wish upon anyone.

We found out that my wife has a genetic mutation called MTHFR (which she calls Motherfucker) can cause all sorts of birth defects and cause an increase in miscarriages. It causes all sorts of complications for pregnancy. She's right. It is a Motherfucker.

Both of us had issues that could lead to miscarriages. So, its like our daughter was our 1 in a million chance. Every miscarriage also increases your chances more and finding out everything about ourselves, we decided we'll take our '1 in a million' and be happy.

We could only handle four miscarriages before we gave up trying for a girl.

I totally agree with PilotMan. I would not wish that pain on anyone.

I had zero idea miscarriages were so common until my brother and his wife had two while trying for their first. They now have two beautiful daughters, which is good, but the miscarriages took a major toll on their marriage and my sister in law in particular.

Jenn and I lost our first at 12 weeks as well before we had Brooklynn.

All of the condolences are appreciated, but we're good. It sucked living through it but today we've accepted our fate and life is good.

I was just kind of frustrated by a celebrity making big public deal out of it. I guess that is to be expected if you live a public life, but still....

Anyway.... it is crazy how it can be 90s one day then 50s 2 days later. Not ready for fall!

I don't know what's worse...Canceling your Linked In premium membership or canceling your Match.com membership. My vote goes for Linked In being worse. Ever since I canceled my premium membership, I constantly get emails saying 'Your profile has been getting a lot of attention' and other click batey emails trying to entice you to start your premium membership again.

My wife and I went through it after we had our two boys. She lost it in early April in 2009. Every year, at that time, she goes into a funk for about 2 weeks. The only upside in our experience was we discovered she was diabetic. She exhibited no signs prior to the pregnancy (outside of gestational diabetes). Her blood sugar was up around 250 after she lost the baby, it had been 320 or something during the pregnancy when they tested it.

But it is rough on everyone involved and I completely agree, I hate it for the celebrities, but do we really need to make a big deal about it and feel worse for them because they are celebrities?

It seemed like 80% of my facebook feed was about the miscarriage. But that's probably because the vast majority of people in my feed are on 30 day mute.

I hear what both of you are saying. I especially understand it given who the celebrity is. But man I wish I had even a 1/10th of the information this news generated today when we went though our first one. So much of the initial grieving process was stunted for us because we framed it as something that we were only supposed to go through on our own. Something to be ashamed of. Once it became public knowledge among family and friends, we received so much support that I just felt foolish for holding everything in.

Everyone has to grieve in the own way. Even knowing all I know now, I could never broadcast that type of news in the way she did. That ain't me nor would I want it to be. Unfortunately, we live in a world that makes a big deal of all the things that celebrities do. My hope is that because everybody made a big deal about a celebrity's tragedy, the non celebs who are going through the same thing get the information they need to help them through their grieving process. It also may prevent some of the more shitty comments that are intentionally or unintentionally spoken in the aftermath.

Finally had a Popeye's chicken sandwich for lunch today.

GTFO of here if you think it is better than Chick-fil-a's chicken sandwich. The only thing about the Popeye's sandwich that might be better is maybe the pickles.

Everything else, no fucking way.

The Spicy Popeye's is trash but I like the regular one. And it's better than any CFA sandwich you can get on sunday. I'd say it's a toss up on taste but generally the CFA drive through experience is far superior.

(also I live a mile from a popeye's but it's like 15 miles to the nearest CFA)

Popeye's sides are where its at, though. The dirty rice and the biscuits are awesome.

I've never had the sandwich because I can never convince myself to waste a trip to Popeye's on a sandwich when I can have the full meat-on-the-bone experience.

The CFA spicy chicken sandwich with pickles and pepperjack is the best fast food sandwich in the history of the world.

You are still wrong.

First time I bit into a Popeye's Chicken Sandwich it was apparently how much better it was than CFAs. Far crunchier, juicier, and delicious. CFA may have slightly better bread, but that's about it really.

Now, Popeye's Spicy is better, but the mild one is better than CFA's as well. No contest.

(Of course, I'll still say that a well made Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich blows CFA's Spicy out of the water... but Wendy's quality can be hit or miss. Popeye's beats a good Wendy's Spicy)

You mean those inconsistently cooked, often mealy textured things? Pass, unless I'm in the mood for coin flip quality.

The sauces, yeah one or two of those are fine.

The contractor who did a lot of work when we bought our house last year just sent me an invoice they found that they never sent me. It is from last June, as in 2019.

I was pretty sure we still owed them some money but was still like, wtf.

Whatever the orange-ish (colored, not flavored) one that used to come with the grilled chicken sandwich is, THAT stuff is really good.

I had to Google: Honey Roasted BBQ

Apparently it's a honey mustard + bbq sauce blend while CFA sauce is those two + ranch.
