Anyone else see this?
Wasn't expecting much from it, but I can honestly say that it's been a long time since I last laughed in a theater like I did tonight. Billy Bob nailed this role, and Tony Cox was awesome. Definitely an adult-only movie, by the way... |

DO NOT WATCH ELF. Maybe the worst movie ever. |

ELF was a damn good movie, liked by both my wife and I. The first 15-20 minutes i didn't like because i didn't know what way they wanted to take the movie, but after that i loved it and had some good laughs.

I want to go see both movies. I've heard lots of good things about Elf...

Maybe I was a little harsh, I did laugh a few times. I probably gave up on it too soon.

was turned off by the bad reviews of Bad Santa, but it looked funny to me (plus, I'm a big fan of Billy Bob - haven't seen him give a bad performance yet).
I also want to see Elf. Probably will wait for DVD for both of them, though.

Any links to some bad reviews? I ask because I have only seen positives (including a glowing 3 and a half star review from Ebert), so I'd like to see some differing opinions. And as I said earlier...no one could have played that role better. |

Very funny movie. Maybe the funniest line ever: "Oh yeah, baby, you're not gonna shit right for a month after this!"

I was going to go when I saw a reviewer call it great and one of the funniest movies of the year...that critic then went on to say that Ghost World was one of the best of 2001( same director). I stopped dead in my tracks. That movie is one of the worst I have EVER seen. Anyway my friend saw it...gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Said that the funniest part is when he beats up a 10 year old...that does sound pretty amusing...

I refuse to watch any movie that has Bernie Mac in it. His work is on permenent suspesion for giving the Cubs a "goocher" during the 6th game of NLCS.
I hate that man.

Billy Bob has a nice little role as the President in "Love Actually". (TLK goes and hides under a rock after admitting he actually saw that movie) |

Bad Santa was FAN- Tastic. It is easily the funniest thing I saw this year. Course that is not really saying that much, since the next funniest would be Matrix reloaded.( It was funny how bad it was)
