RFL 2009 Offseason Thread
I wasn't sure if you could still talk your players out of transferring in Week 2, so I left things at Week 1 of the offseason. Please remember that you cannot try to talk players out of leaving for the NFL, as that feature is broken in online dynasties. Last edited by Kodos : 10-30-2008 at 12:02 PM. |

You can't talk transfers out of leaving either.

No surprises for Michigan. I am glad Minor and Grady stayed. Should give me two 90 OV RB's.

OMG...I can't believe Ratliff is transfering out. He was hurt the entire year and I had to put him down as a backup so I could use the formation sub functionality to work correctly. UUUUUGH
That sucks...oy anyways. I'm pretty sure you can't convince guys to stay instead of transfering out either.

Dola
Looks like OSU has a serious amount of underclassmen leaving for the draft.

Ratliff = Royster for those who don't know. When I took over the team he was already out for the year, and aparently that upset him enough to xfer out. Bastard.

You also have a 79 OVR RB transferring in from Louisville. Yay! I will advance to Week 2, since you can't talk to transfers either. Last edited by Kodos : 10-18-2008 at 03:08 PM. |

Kodos, your first year at Indiana seems to be a success based soley on the fact you've brainwashed kids into not leaving the program in droves.
Kudos! |

Fine by me...since we can't convince them to stay regardless. Just make sure there aren't other things we can do during the same stage.

I want to say I got raped with players leaving early but due to his injury early in the year, Chris Wells(likely 99 OVR) is staying for his senior year.
Tough losses though. My top 2 OT,WR, ILB, CB, FS, and SS are gone. My top 3 OG. None of that counts the other top seniors like Boecman who are leaving. Whats up with my OLB(likely starter) leaving for ND. I guess he doesnt care about winning. In a nutshell, my OL and Secondary will consist of all freshman. Nows the chance to get your licks in. Of course I dont mind since I just won a championship. Hey Sun, do you have any RB left? lol

Basically. I never have had a guy transfer in but I am under the impression you have to okay it. It is a waste, I know, but if you skip the stage, sometimes the CPU declines them. |

I really wish I had put him back into the starting spot before all was said and done, even though he was injured for the year. The guy who started in his spot is decent...I want to say he was a 79 OVR but he has a 94/95 for SPD and something close in ACC/AGI too. Rediculous! Quote:
Are you able to check to see if incoming xfers have to be approved by the recieving team? If so, then no don't advance. If they don't have to be approved and they automatically come through, then as long as everyone else is ok with it then I'd say advance.

Why don't we have everyone go in and look at their team, and set things ready to advance, just to be sure.

lawl...Well keep in mind that there's a chance that he'll leave in the NOFL too. Although commishes are able to convince their players to stay and they actually stay.
hmmmm

Well, the SS transfer from Washington alleviates the loss of Jordan Pendleton...but still, I am crying over Hall...

dola
btw it seems that all xfers are automatically set to approve unless selected otherwise. It's just a checkbox when you go to "transfer request" that's already prechecked for "approve".

So, sounds like maybe we should just advance, under the theory transfers can be cut if they turn out to suck?

I'd imagine so. I dunno if other people have pending xfers anyways, as it says "files not ready = 0"

That refers to football games, I believe. I think what we need to look at is the number next to the red shirt icon. And it said the same thing before you accepted the xfer, I believe.

You may be right...I didn't really look before I checked the xfer. Whatever works, I'm just anxious like everyone else.

BYU and Notre Dame both have guys transferring in. I don't want to risk screwing something up, especially since it would affect multiple teams. I'm eager to advance too, but I think we should err on the side of caution.

Thats the thing I dont get. I was thinking maybe he was intimidated by us bringing in 2 5* OLB so he transferred to you but you have the same situation.
