During the challenge when the Macho Man Randy Savage look-a-like yelled 'That's why we're brawn!!!' (after having blown the start by losing the mask), my entire family said that they will now proceed to blow the puzzle.

Wait, we're not actually doing spoilers in this thread, right? (Beyond talking about episodes that have already aired, which, if you haven't watched yet and are still checking the thread...)

Yea, I thought he meant just about previous episodes. If an episode has already aired and you're coming in here without having watched, that's a you problem. I agree though... no future spoilers.

Also just a side comment on a parenting fail...
I mentioned I thought the brawn guy looked like the Macho Man. When I said that my children both said, "Who?" When I answered, "You know, Bonesaw from Spiderman" they both said, "Oh yea... we know Bonesaw. Never heard of the Macho Man." |

Yeah. Given that this season was filmed a long time ago, I'm guessing there are plenty of spoilers out there floating around. I'd hate for someone to drop one in here, then say "Oops, the thread title said it was OK".

I always like reading the spoilers after the season just to see whether they were right or wrong. I remember seeing how people were mocking the person who posted spoilers about Cochran winning, saying there was no way that's possible, only to see him win. This season actually had a longer wait than usual, because it was filmed before the previous season.

Seriously ...voting out one of your strong guys for dropping the mask and leaving the worthless blond bimbo that did nothing for 3 days, couldn't help with the boat then took up time with the puzzle...
And on top of that they KNOW they can't trust her. Seriously WHAT are those meatheads thinking? oh.....thinking with THAT brain... |

Mainly maple leaf I said spoilers in case someone doesn't know that people will be talking about the events in episodes that will obviously give away who was kicked out, etc. Also it prevents us from haveing to spoilertag everything

Kaleb from big brother was actually a very good competitor.. was not bad in the intelligence challenges on that show either..
Honestly i feel like they kept blondie because they can just shave her off next time they lose immunity.. or a potential drag her to the end candidate |

Yeah, they filmed season 33 before season 32. Since they made a big deal with the fan vote for the all stars, they wanted to lead right into that season, so they switched the order.

This was my theory. We'll see what happens though. Nobody is jumping out at me right now, but the all-star type seasons have generally been the better ones.

I doubt that. There have been dreadfully boring seasons before and they haven't changed the order. I think they felt it would've been weird if they did that public vote and followed it up with a different season.

Yeah, that was it. They did the gimmick where the all-stars got voted in on the season finale before and then had to leave right from there to head for the island. Would have been weird to do that, then have another season in between before coming back to the all-stars six months later.

it almost looked like they intentionally put one mismatched person on each tribe - blond girl on Brawn, Thai on beauty and female Phil on brains. I was half-expecting some sort of switch after the tribes were settled

Compared to the next-level gaming that the second chance survivors showed, there are definitely some brain dead people this season!
Who admits that things were up in the air when you're at tribal council? That was soooooooo dumb! |

It's been fun seeing the brain tribe at least. Other than Debbie I didn't remember seeing any of them before haha
I like Neil/Aubry a lot. Peter/Liz were as dumb as Jenny with their early moves. Last edited by CrimsonFox : 03-03-2016 at 11:49 AM. |

Still watching. Tai has been pretty entertaining. Peter has zero self awareness and I was really hoping he blindside was going to send him home.

This really is an awful season.
So THAT many people were standing around watching Mike Skupin literally die in a fire. They've really picked a bad place this time. There was pretty much nothing to be gleaned from this episode. Except that debbie is still annoying and will get tossed. Did NOT expect caleb to go down that hard. I was kinda just creeped out by Jeff... "So doc, take us through this. What is happening? So Caleb is about to die?" "Yes Jeff he will die if we leave him in." "Oh. Fascinating..." |

It does seem like Survivor is playing with fire. Subjecting people to starvation, heat, and mental distress while in a remote location. Seems like sooner or later, somebody might actually die on them.
There aren't many people worth rooting for this season. Nobody on brawn, for sure. |

Really?
I like SP, but the thought of a multi millionaire sports guy winning doesn't sit well. "Ive found two bags (of 3), what have you done?" classic.

Huh? The first three tribal councils were terrific and we had a physically brutal 4th episode. I think this has been a terrific season so far. Quote:
Um, no. Skupin passed out and fell in. then he immediately ran into the water. He wasn't "literally" dying at any point and there was no way for anyone to stop him from falling into the fire.

That was one intense episode seeing so many people go down. And also crazy seeing basically the entire crew on camera which meant it had to be pretty serious.

yeah I am NOT in favor of watching people actually get hurt. and that's been happening more and more the past 5 years.
It's not what it's about. Don't know who would want that. And yeah I figured someone would call me out on the literally....yeah I reread what I wrote afterwards....what I meant was...Mike Skupin fell into the fire and could have died for all the crew cared. I read an article interview with Burnett which stated the crew knew at least back then they were not ever to interfere with anything ever. Skupin passed out. Literally passed out. He didn't recover right away and go straight to the lake. that was editing. that's what I meant tho...that he very easily could have. I think their medical teams have been great since then about rushing in and declaring people that need to be pulled. But the show as a whole has been kinda negligent about these challenges that sometimes seemed designed to cause injury. Not that someone couldn't get hurt on any challenge...some are more dangerous than others. And this heat...i don't think i ever remember heat being a problem...even in africa. |

Yeah, count me in with those who don't watch this show to see people placed in danger. Putting aside that it's never fun watching someone suffer, it kind of kill the "outlast" part of the strategy game too -- people are basically just leaving randomly now.
Between that and the two brawn dudes being horrible to the blonde, that was one of my least favorite episodes ever.

however they desreved everything they got. I still don't know why they voted out such a strong guy to keep her when they hated her day one. |
