Race #13 - Boston Results

It was a bit of a heartbreak today for two drivers. Sterling Silvers had the days dominant car, leading 132 laps before a pit road mishap cost him. He fell back to 15th and fought his way back to 7th before the race ended. Helen Wheels took advantage after the Silvers mishap and looked to be in great shape to take her second win of the season and nearly guarantee a wildcard spot for the Chase. But, rookie Rylan Parker took the lead from Wheels with only 11 laps left and held off Helen's challenges to take the win. Wheels was 2nd followed by King Kong, Chris Snow, and Nick Phillips. The top three drivers in the points all had poor runs. Cannon Pace finished 32nd, Trick Dickle 40th and Dexter Jackson 19th.

To-Paw Racing is questioning the appearance of Snow Motorsports lackeys being in the garage area pre race.

Not a bad race for young Pharaoh Moore. Good experience for him.

Barring an epic collapse it looks like Dexter will make into the chase for the 2nd year. This year though it's actually because we've been consistent and not because we lucked into two wins. It was nice to see a good run from Johnny Sanders in his Cup Series debut at Boston with a 15th.

After coming up just short at Boston, Helen Wheels was determined to get that second win and secure a spot in the Chase. She led 79 laps and held off a challenge from defending series champ Nick Phillips to get her second win of the season and earning a spot in the Chase. Phillips finished 2nd followed by Chris Snow, Rylan Park and David Ginsberg.

Only one more race remains until the Chase. With her second win of the year Helen Wheels has earned a spot in the Chase. Fox McCloud will also be in as long as Luke Duke, Rylan Parker, or Alejandro Murrieta don't win their second race of the year. Duke, Parker and Murietta also hope Helen Wheels makes it into the top ten and Mustafa Henderson stays in the top ten as well to open up another wild card spot. Trick Dickle, Chris Snow, Cannon Pace, Dexter Jackson and Nick Phillips all have secured their spots in the Chase. Nick Harold, Ace Idol, Bo Duke, Avery Thomas and Mustafa Henderson will all be in with top ten finishes.

Woohoo! A second Chase for Helen, though she got there in 2 completely different fashions. (No DNFs last year versus the 2 wins this time around.)

Back up top in the points, but the Dickle and the Silver Bullet team have certainly had a lackluster middle-of-the-season. Time to get focused and bring home the championship!

Despite dropping to 3rd in the points this is still the best year a CMP Racing car has ever had. Cannon has remained consistent all year despite not winning. Will that be enough in the 5 race chase though? It'll probably take at least one win to win the Chase.

Race #15 - Kobalt Tools 500 Results

After suffering through a terrible season, King Kong and his crew finally got things right today and dominated the Kobalt Tools 500, leading 119 laps and winning by a 7.72 second margin. Cannon Pace was 2nd followed by Sterling Silvers, Alejandro Murrieta and Dexter Jackson.

A lot of accidents knocked out many cars but the majority of the Chase contenders made it through except for points leader Trick Dickle who finished 37th. So who made the Chase? Final standings are next.

Good and bad, we ran really poor the last few races, and missed out on the chance to have 2 cars in the chase. Glad to see the 'Ol General Lee in there again, and at least the rough and tumble 02 car can just ram some other guys out of the way to clear a space, or a jump.

I'd love to have some semblance of what I need to do to improve my performance next year. I feel completely handcuffed.

Cannon makes the Chase for the first time. Maybe we can pick up a win in the next 5 races. Derrick Pace will also be in the Coke Zero 400 from Daytona next race so we'll see what the youngster can do.

Race #16 - Coke Zero 400 Results

Ace Idol, who had the dominant car all day as he led 88 of 160 laps made a frantic charge to try and overtake Rip Lickingood down the final straightaway. But it was not enough as Lickingood beat Idol in a photo finish to win the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona. Idol was the top Chase contender in 2nd. Chris Snow was 6th and Dexter Jackson 10th as they were the only three Chase drivers in the top ten.
