I like Cincy Chili, or at least some versions of it (used to get it all the time at Hard Times, and I make my own variation that admittedly does have beans).

What is the main complaint with it? That it is too sweet and not spicy enough? Is it a consistency thing? Lack of beans? What's the main issue?

As a big fan of spicy chili, the sweet inclusion of cinnamon in the "Greek Style" chili that is Cincinnati Chili is a turnoff. As is the runny consistency it tends to have.

I never found the cinnamon to make it sweet. I always felt adding cocoa had a larger impact on that. I make mine thicker than most. One of my friends described my chili as a spicier, thicker Skyline. Which makes sense as the base recipe I use (I have modified it over the years) was my mother's attempt to recreate Skyline at home.

How is The 15-17 to Paris actually a movie? Not even enough real action to fill a prime time drama segment between commercials. Next thing you know Eastwood will make a movie surrounding the infamous Eff You to Trump tweet by Deadspin.

So the Berlin Wall has now been gone for as long as it was standing.

It has now been 10,316 days since the Wall fell.

LOL pepsico came up with an idea of "Doritos for Women" because of course women "want and need" that sort of thing.

So last night I was thinking about buying my coworker a gift today as today is her birthday. I didn't really know her that well and I'm about 10 years older than her and thought it might be creepy. I was going back and forth all day yesterday.

So I go into work today and she didn't show up. She died in a car crash on the way to work.

I can only imagine what the family is going through when their daughter dies on her 20th birthday.

I'm having a lot of trouble dealing with it right now.

How does a douchebag like me live while a sweet girl like Rosella dies.

That's terrible. So tragic when someone dies so young, especially if she was a real sweetheart of a person.

I worked fast food with her.

She had such a rapier wit. But now our wounds will not heal.

It seems rather strange to me. I was in the Air Force for the height of the Iraq War yet no one close to me directly dies of the war. I work fast food at Tim Horton and this beautiful young woman dies.

I'm just so confused at life at the moment that I'm glad that alcohol exists in spades.

There's a certain charm in watching 80's and 90's TV and seeing character actors. Like the people who would show up on Diagnosis Murder or Touched By An Angel, who weren't very good but looked the part. I wonder what those sort of folks are doing nowadays.

Is it that or is it rich privileged kids being jackasses? Playing basketball in Memphis, the two black kids on our team were called Uncle Toms and the like. The rest of us were a bunch of rich crackers.

At the Catholic HS in Memphis, many of the students were non-Catholic. Granted up here, with a higher percentage of Catholics in the population, there is a higher percentage of Catholic kids at the high school. That said, did this happen because they were at a Catholic school, or did it happen because it was a bunch of spoiled rich kids?

Well a gofundme was set up a couple days for $5000 for funeral expenses and what not.

So far funds have passed $10,000

Such a sad story to hear. I found her picture; she had an incredible smile. Sorry for the loss of your coworker and pray for her family.

My best friend's sister passed away this week in a freak accident as well. Left behind a middle school daughter the same age as my son.

These things just hit you.

I think I've gotten over all personal grieving, but my store posted copies of the gofundme page all over the store (franchise owners are matching all donations made by employees.) Right now her smile is shining on the store.

Sorry to hear about your own loss.

It absolutely drives me nuts to see headlines where the source is listed last, like "Driver passes out and hits 3 pedestrians: cops", rather than "Report: abducted woman escapes through 8 inch window screen." I don't know why, but the former infuriates me.

For years now my Grandmother has been getting something called the Carol Wright catalog. It's basically As Seen On TV stuff, diabetic socks, knick knacks, that kind of shit. Every couple of weeks there's a new one sitting on the kitchen table, they've almost become part of the decor to her house.

So last night I'm taking a break from shoveling the walkway, sitting at the table having a smoke and sipping some coffee and I start leafing through it. Out of the corner of my eye I spy an ad for something that resembles a dildo, I do a double take and suddenly realize that everything on these two pages are dildos, clitoral pumps and pocket pussies. Right in the middle of the magazine randomly.

World is passing me by.

At least there's some subtlety to that. I've seen the wands many places. But this was like straight out "Hey, Here's a dildo and clitty toy, and a jackoff pump for your hubby!"

I sent a text to my m-i-l and f-i-l a couple of days ago. I was away from my phone for a few hours today, and while I was gone my m-i-l texted her hubby in my thread, and they’ve been texting back and forth since then, including some stuff that will be embarrassing to them that I saw. Trying to decide how to tell them, “uh, guys....”

I feel like there's a good comedy bit in there about getting a good deal on something that normally cost like, $3?

Are those Pepper Jack Cheese Its?

Sure are?

How much something like that run ya?

Let's just say I got a good deal.
