WSB 2k3

Ok, I just passed my Compaq certifications and I wanted to get myself something. Ootp5 has been my sole game, but I wanted to see what WBS was all about, especially since the plug on here a few weeks ago by people who really like the game. What can I say, I need a graphics fix, plus I need to get the fingers back in shape in preparation for NCAA 2004.

Gamestop has it for $39.99 used, so if I get it on the way home tonight, can I play it right out of the box? or do I need slider settings galore? I haven't played a WSB game since the arcade version years ago.

If it's a slider fest, I'll pass on it.

Thanks,

Todd

It's playable out of the box, but there are sliders that you can tweak if you so desire.

I basically set the game on Legend mode, upped the 'ball' frequency to give me more pitches out of the strike zone, and increased the walk frequency.

That was all I had to do, really. 2 minutes tops, boom, been very happy with the results.
