Ping 49er fans : Hearst or Barlow ?

this will be (should be) the great battle of 49er training camp that opens next week.

Who will be the starting RB in 2003 :

veteran Garrisson Hearst or 3rd year pro Kevan Barlow ?

I want to see Barlow be the undisputed started now.
It is the time.

He is more explosive and while Hearst is well, Hearst, he's on the decline now.

I agree with you and also, I've had Barlow on my keeper fantasy football league for the last two seasons.

We keep 8 and I drafted him in the second round two years ago. Now I wanna see some rewards

I love Hearst, but I'm with you Darkiller...it's time Barlow took over.

I think Hearst has another season left in him.. i believe the carries should be close to 60/40 for Hearst.

Barlow is the future so he should get more carries even if he doesn't start.

Barlow...for the reason that he is excellent coming out of the backfield and catching balls. Plus he's simply a better runner at this point.

Garrison will get his share of carries and still put up a nice YPC, but I'd say Kevan will get at least two-thirds of em.

I don't think that Barlow will perform remarkably better than Hearst this season, but in future seasons I think it's a no-brainer. That's why he needs the seasoning now. Experience is huge.

Count me as another 49er fan who thinks Barlow's time is now. To be honest, I don't see the 49ers as contenders this year. Might as well find out if Barlow is really the guy of the future, or whether they need to explore other options.

ML - Who do you think out of the West then? St. Louis to bounce back? The Niners have done nothing but get better, and our defense is starting to look like something to be *gasp* feared again.

Hearst will be the starter for the begining of the year untill the 10th game when Hearst starts to get tired, then Barlow will become the undisputed starter

Heart= Hearst (I still remember being in Arkansas, sitting behind Garrison's mom, and watching Hearst run all over the Razorbacks on their homecoming. )

Head= Barlow. He is the present and future. It will be nice for the 49ers to have such a sure-fire backup. Not that it makes me happy.

Probably Barlow, depending upon how his knee is doing.

I'm a big Barlow fan because he went to Pitt, so I have followed him some. I saw he really took some strides last year and I think this should be the year that he starts to slowly take over for Hearst.

Barlow, it's time for him to take over. But they should give Hearst alot of carries though.
