The EA Sports Nation personal leaderboard
Has anyone tried this out yet? It sounds pretty cool. You can list all of your buddies in a leaderboard at EASportsNation.com. I don't have my username available here at work, but will check it out when I go home. It lets you look up anyone and see their average stats, as well as how you've fared in your last 10 games.
Look at my domination with IU! Look at how I've been dominated online in Madden! **Kodos goes out to his mailbox to see if his next check has arrived yet.** Last edited by Kodos : 10-01-2003 at 02:36 PM. |

Is that a disconnect or was it actually a 2-0 score? |

Well this is pretty cool. Here is the link to my personal leaderboard of FOFC players of Madden:
Kodos' FOFC Madden Leaderboard Kodos' FOFC NCAA Leaderboard I think this is pretty innovative/cool for a company that usually gets little credit for either. |

I actually used the Dan Marino ID just so I could focus on learning to run without having my Kodos record suffer while I learned the ropes. I figured I would get killed because I was only focussing on running, not on winning. Of course, I had two 40+ runs and one of my best rushing games ever, and now it doesn't count towards improving my pathetic rush stats under the Kodos ID. Ah well, it was still fun making the idiot pay for his "don't quit" remark. I hate when people do that, even though I kinda understand, because quitting does run rampant in Madden. It still annoys me when someone just assumes you will quit if you fall behind, even in the first quarter.

Are you kidding? That guys has a 91% disconnect percentage! Who the hell is he to pause and tell you not to quit? Looking at his record he has quit in every game he has played except for 1. |

quitting eventually makes it hard for you to play against people. i don't play with anyone over 10% quit-rate. and i also don't play people who play as the Falcons. part of it is cuz i find it hard to stop Vick, but mistly because people don't have the discipline to not scramble with him on every play. it happened to me once and it was so un-fun i just quit on the guy. before i did i wrote him "you can't possible find this fun".

Semi-off topic...
I've been thinking about picking up the network hookup for the PS2, but I have a question... When you pick a team to play with NCAA2004, is there an option to make both teams even, despite the relative strengths of the teams? Follow up - if so, do most people pick this option or prefer to play with the teams as-is? I'd like to play, but I'd usually pick a non Top 10 team. I'd hate to see myself get slaughtered because I picked a "bad" team rather than my truly awful NCAA2004 skills. -Craig |

My first dola!
Also...do MOST people quit in the first quarter? My only time to play would be late at night and a quit in the first quarter would probably prevent me from playing again that night. I guess it's like most things -- probably better to find a friend or two to play rather than a stranger, correct? -Craig |

It's definitely better to play friends (even internet friends) if possible, as they are much less likely to quit on you. Quitters tend to quit as soon as they fall behind, so often it comes after their first series if you stop them.
There is no equalization option. I will usually try to pick a similarly ranked team if my opponent chooses a powerhouse, and will stick with my pathetic Hoosiers if my opponent chooses some middle of the pack team. |
