FOF 2004 Contract extension question.

I’ve started a career in the year 1960 and I’ve noticed that some of my players contracts run out in 1961. Do I need to extend their contracts this season 1960? Or, can I wait until training camp at the begin of next season. I remember seeing in seasons past the first year of a league that there are symbols representing Free Agents and restricted ones, however I just don't see those symbols in the first season. I just don't want my best guys getting away. Any help would be great!

Click on the player card to renegotiate a player's contract, and I think you will see each year of his contract - starting with the current year, and then each succeeding year. For the situation you describe, I think you'll find that the players are signed through 1961 - you don't need to extend them this year, unless it suits you to do so. But the specific information is on each player's own page.
