I'm just curious, does anyone here watch this show with any regularity? What do you think of it?

My wife watches. I think its absurd to even think that a family could go through so much stuff in a span of a few years.

I have watched it off and on, like the show in that it deals w/ some real life situations w/o having to drag you family through the language/sexual scenes gutter constantly.

I've wondered why the reverends flock havent asked why he lives in a palatial estate that rivals most mansions in Bel Aire.

They are related to the people from Party of Five. Talk about depressing crap.

Too bad they don't go to Boston Public HS. Imagine that then

7th Heaven is turning into a bad weekly soap opera

Used to watch it but it has, imho, run its course and has become tired.

I'm awaiting the multi-episodes upcoming with the alien abductions where Jessica Whatshername has an alien child. Or perhaps the Jif episode with Happy the dog and Chavez out back with the idiot blonde son.

edit for stupid typo crap.

Don't they revoke your membership to the "International Brotherhood of Men" if you watch shows like this?

You didn't? I'll have to go back and re-read what you wrote...

Nope, it still says what I thought it said...

See, this is not my insinuation about 7th Heaven: Straight, gay, bi, whatever. This is bigger than sexuality! All guys should be able to agree on this. I was suggesting that if you're a guy and you watch this show, they chop your nuts off and you become a woman.

I mean, aren't there just some shows like that: Oprah, soap operas, anything on Lifetime or Oxygen, the WNBA, etc

EDIT: couldn't find a picture of Al Bundy in front of the "podium" in his garage with his "NO M.A.A.M." t-shirt on

I disagree. When flipping through the channels on a boring evening, I may happen upon 7th Heaven. If I pause there and I watch, is that wrong? If in my watching I see the seriously hot Jessica Biel wearing some tight sporty number, is it a bad thing to lear? If in my learing I remember about the topless shots she did, and stop watching to go "investigate" them on the internet, has it not made me a better, more fulfilled person

Oh, that's perfectly acceptable and encouraged. It's like watching Brittney Spears videos muted- you're not watching the video for the intended content.

I actually like some of Justin Timberlake's music. *ducks* Not enough to buy his albums, and none of that NSync/BSB stuff before though. Then again, Timbaland seems to do that to a lot of artists.

My little sister, at least used to, watch 7th Heaven. It sucked. If you like that type of programming, watch the Gilmore Girls instead. That's what she's upgraded too.

And if you like that type of programming for tv on mute reasons, is that really the best that can be found? Especially since everyone here apparently knows how to work the internet. I mean if you really wanted to, you could go on-line, download some episodes of it and splice together all her scenes.

Sorry I let this thread die for so long, but I'll now bring up the reason I asked. I am of the opinion that 7th Heaven is the worst show ever. I'm sure that plenty of you will have ideas about what shows are worse, but you're all wrong. In my opinion, what makes 7th Heaven particularly bad is that it claims to be a show that supports family values, but instead presents some of the most old-fashioned, chauvinistic kind of behavior.

So I'll rephrase my question. Does anyone, particularly those who generally agree with Christian conservatives and "family values" actually think that this show represents the way they think?

No. The unintentional comedy in this show is off the charts, and should be the only reason anyone watches this show.

I actually like this show. Don't watch it all the time, but if I notice it's on and I'm bored I might watch an episode. Then again, I don't agree with "Christian conservatives and their so-called 'family values', so maybe that tells you something.
