Rookie URFA Money Problem
When mid-season injuries make cuts and replacements necessary it’s really annoying to see your available cap room drop after cutting a body. After playing with my roster for while I think this problem is tied specifically to rookie URFA’s. I’ve been able to cut 2nd-14th year players signed as free agents outside the 20 step process without effect. I’ve also been able to cut veteran (2nd-7th year) players signed to rookie 7 year minsal deals. The problem seems to occur exclusively when a non-drafted rookie is cut. Can anybody confirm this?

Yeah, it's happened to me before. It is a bug that will probably never be addressed unless EA decides to patch this thing (yeah, right).

Of course, you could always change to let the scout handle minor signings then and you can refill your roster and be over the salary cap. Tagliabue would just love that.
