Is there interest in an FOFC ootp6 league?
The only league I would play in is an FOFC (mainly) run league.
I really like the feature set of ootp6 and although I'm a solo player, a league like the IHOF and eNFL would be fun with people from FOFC. I'm not League Commish material, I just want a competitve league with people from FOFC. Just a post with the team you would be, I think a full draft of real players would be fun, but I'm open to majority rule. Of course there might only be a few people would want to play, so..... ST. LOUIS CARDINALS for me.. (sorry mtaystl03) Todd |

Well, I would want to be the Cardinals, but since you've claimed them, I'd take Tampa Bay.

Would prefer some sort of fictional player/teams league, but for now I'll jump in with the Houston Astros.

Just gotten into MP leagues with FOF2004. What are the export schedules like for baseball leagues usually? I can only send stuff in when i'm home, sat. through mondays usually, sometimes more. I would love to get into a OOTP league but need to know if i would get screwed by not being able to send stuff in tues. through friday?

I wouldn't mind joining an OOTP 6 league. If something forms I'd like to grab the DBacks.

MizzouRah - St. Louis
Pumpy Tudors - Tampa Bay RPI-FAN - Houston Primal - Arizona TheLionKing - Detroit Eaglesfan27 - Philadelphia Repost with list and your name - team name. Fictional would be ok as well... I just want to organize the people, we need a league commish, web hosting, etc... Cringer, I think you send in your lineups twice a week or something like that. I'd definitely be interested.
If we are picking teams this way, I would like the Philadelphia Phillies |

I could handle hosting, I'm pretty sure. I'd have to ask my friend who provides me with space, but I have a good feeling that he'd say yes.

OOTP 6 will be my first version of the game, but I'm a veteran of online leagues from my FPS: Baseball Pro '98 days. I'd glady give a whirl at rebullding my beloved Pirates.
edit: I'll cede control of the list to you, Mizzou and EaglesFan

If that didn't work and we needed to purchase hosting space, I'd be glad to help take care of that.

I'd like to be the Giants, but only if its a real players league. I wouldn't mind keeping the current teams either, but drafting is fine too.

I didn't realize each person was supposed to post the list as they picked a team. So if we are supposed to do that then:
MizzouRah - St. Louis Pumpy Tudors - Tampa Bay RPI-FAN - Houston Primal - Arizona TheLionKing - Detroit Z² - Pittsburgh Eaglesfan27 - Philadelphia Ragone - KC Skydog - Atlanta

This is quite strange. Doug5984 and I were talking of creating a league. We pretty much decided we would do it. Here is the commitments I have already:
GoldenEagle (Cardinals) Doug5984 (Pirates) JeeberD (Astros) The Afoci (Brewers) There are team conflicts but we can get it worked out. Does everyone just want to play ball with us? |

The Astros thing is not really a big deal to me - on the other hand, something that I'd say is a big deal, is I'd rather have a fresh league where we'll discuss all the policies and everything, including commissioners/presidents.

I know Doug is not dead set on the Pirates. On the other hand, JeeberD is an Astros homer. Our league policies are not set. Also as far as I can tell, no one has stepped to be a commish in this thread yet. |

Hopefully it can be worked out, and it sounds like RPI-FAN is ok with it (name new teams, it's filling up fast). Actually, I'm really excited this thread has taken off, I really thought I'd get only a handful of replies. If everyone is dedicated, I think it'll be a blast. Todd |

Give me any open team if I can't have the Astros (I'm a huge Astros fan, but since hopefully we'd do a player draft it doesn't really matter - but if we did do a player draft, couldn't we rename our teams?)
The idea I got from this thread is that we'd have a discussion over who might be a good commish/would like to, and from there choose one and league presidents or whatnot. From my experience, when people just up and start a league with no or little discussion on commish, the league struggles. This certainly isn't always the case, but often can be.

I'm not clear on something, GE:
Was your initial post saying that you and Doug were commishing a new league and inviting all of the signups to join, or just saying you have a list of four people who'd like to play and have favorite teams? If it's the former, I stick by my commish discussion comments. If the latter, I don't want to be a huge bitch about this, but how is it fair that I signed up first and don't get the Astros?

I'd prefer full player draft, and fictional teams and names. My heart isn't set on any of those, but if I got one of my wishes it'd be nice.
As for league commish, I'd nominate Primal. I have no clue if he's interested or anything, but I know he did a fabulous job setting some web stuff up in the CFL, and he seems to be a very "consistent" poster (don't need to worry about him meeting some online chick and taking off from FOFC forever). In addition, he seems like a good guy.

You do. You signed up, you get them. I'll take the Indians, it's no big deal... but I don't want arguments or this "happy FOFC league feeling" goes away and I'm back to solo play. You and Z2 signed up so the teams are yours. If both of you are huge Astros fans and don't want to give them up, there can be two leagues. The IHOF and eNFL are two FOFC leagues, two baseball leagues would be fine. Todd |
