I think they actually did have a short and long version on the show, although I remember the short version being used most of the time. I may be wrong. The short version cut out the part starting with "I begged and pleaded" and ending with "like lightning disappeared".

One of my favorite all time shows. My mom and I were recently discussing a scene from this show where Larry and Balki (sp?) were in the living room with skis on pushing each other back and forth. My mother swears to this day she's never laughed as hard.
