Sabs Tennis Match Sim Interactive Dynasty Signup
Figured I'd float this out there as an idea for an interactive dynasty.
I'll be using Sabs Tennis Sim to sim thru a tour featuring 15 tournaments per year. I started out doing this with fictional players I created but I figured that it would be more fun getting actual FOFC'ers to create players and assign statistics to them. Here is what I need from you, Name: Age: Spread 200 Points Out over these 17 Categories, you can PM me your ratings if you'd rather your opponents did not see your abilities. Baseline Acceleration: Baseline Power: Net Acceleration: Net Power: Opponent At Net: Opponent At Baseline: Stamina: Overconfidence: Discouragment: Mobility: Reflex: Serve Power: Serve Accuracy: Returns: Hardcourt: Clay Court: Grass: The tour will feature these 15 Tournaments, Week 1- Australian Open * Surface: Grass 1st Prize: $1,200,000 2nd Prize: $800,000 3rd-4th: $300,000 Week 2- China Open Surface: Clay 1st Prize: $900,000 2nd Prize: $500,000 3rd-4th: $150,000 Week 3- Kremlin Cup Surface: Clay 1st Prize: $750,000 2nd Prize: $400,000 3rd-4th: $100,000 Week 4- Italian Open Surface: Grass 1st Prize: $1,000,000 2nd Prize: $700,000 3rd-4th: $300,000 Week 5- French Open * Surface: Clay 1st Prize: $1,600,000 2nd Prize: $1,200,000 3rd-4th: $700,000 Week 6- Swiss Grand Prix Surface: Hard 1st Prize: $1,000,000 2nd Prize: $600,000 3rd-4th: $200,000 Week 7- German Open Surface: Grass 1st Prize: $1,100,000 2nd Prize: $600,000 3rd-4th: $200,000 Week 8- Wimbledon * Surface: Grass 1st Prize: $1,800,000 2nd Prize: $1,300,000 3rd-4th: $1,000,000 Week 9- Canadian Open Surface: Hard 1st Prize: $700,000 2nd Prize: $350,000 3rd-4th: $100,000 Week 10- Bob Huggins Budweiser Open Surface: Hard 1st Prize: $650,000 2nd Prize: $300,000 3rd-4th: $100,000 Week 11- RCA Championships Surface: Hard 1st Prize: $1,000,000 2nd Prize: $750,000 3rd-4th: $400,000 Week 12- Horns Maniac Texas Invitational Surface: Grass 1st Prize: $700,000 2nd Prize: $400,000 3rd-4th: $200,000 Week 13- Skydog Patriot Open Surface: Grass 1st Prize: $800,000 2nd Prize: $400,000 3rd-4th: $250,000 Week 14- Philadelphia Colonial Open Surface: Hard 1st Prize: $900,000 2nd Prize: $650,000 3rd-5th: $250,000 Week 15- U.S. Open * Surface: Hard 1st Prize: $1,500,000 2nd Prize: $1,000,000 3rd-4th: $600,000 Money will be mainly there for show, it doesn't mean much of anything. Rankings will be determined as follows: 1 point for a first round victory 2 points for a second round victory 4 points for a semi final victory 6 points for a tournament championship At the end of every tournament you will get to add 5 points to add to your player in any category you want for every victory and the Tournament champion will get a 1 point bump to all his ratings. First 16 people to post here or IM me with your player get a spot in the Australian Open which I'll run as soon as I get enough players. Last edited by Suicane75 : 06-19-2004 at 05:01 PM. |

That should be Net Accuracy and Baseline Accuracy, not Acceleration.
Name: Jeremy Killingsworth Age: 21 Baseline Accuracy: 15 Baseline Power: 11 Net Accuracy: 10 Net Power: 7 Opponent At Net: 8 Opponent At Baseline: 10 Stamina: 17 Overconfidence: 12 Discouragment: 12 Mobility: 12 Reflex: 11 Serve Power: 15 Serve Accuracy: 18 Returns: 12 Hardcourt: 10 Clay Court: 10 Grass:10 (Note: Just because I programmed it doesn't mean I made the best possible player. I pretty much just picked at random.) |

6 so far, I edited the thread description to include the word signup, I probably didn't make it very clear exactly what i was doing in the original description.
Just a question for those already signed up, would it make it better if you could see everyones point distribution once we were set to go? That way you could know what kind of player they were, what categories they were really good in and defend against them when you get the chance to add points to your own player? |
